25.01.2022 We met these legends this morning travelling around Australia that dropped in for the show in Katherine. Digby, Harriet and Willow Russell shared a few stories of their travels, helped feed all the animals and stocked up on a few CDs to listen to as they travel around the country! Poor parents!

24.01.2022 They say The outside of a horse is good for the inside of a man and I believe these words ring true. This year has been pretty tough on our tourism business but after pivoting into horse lessons, trail rides, a farm therapy program and training more clients horses, we’ve realised how fundamental these horses are in getting everyone through. We’re still learning from them and they keep us grounded but very grateful we can work with them everyday!

17.01.2022 Catching up with Jack and Milton Jones with their mother Cristina dropping another batch of horses in to be started under saddle. We received about 15 ml of rain a few nights back and the humidity is starting to climb! Have an awesome weekend!

17.01.2022 We ran a hands on horse training session for kids recently, where they got up close and personal with our horses. Not only was it fun and informative but the connection between the kids and the horses was quite amazing. To see the kids come out of their shell and build confidence around these great animals made it all worthwhile. Here @breanna_jayne_horsemanship is leading the way and doing a cracking job!

15.01.2022 Well we’ve been pretty busy running horsemanship schools in Darwin and out on Victoria River Downs VRD station about 400km south of Katherine NT over the last week. I was training horses on VRD about 2004 so it’s been amazing to get back out here, work with the Ringers and soak up station life again - so good for the soul!

If you told me I would meet my wife hitchhiking, where her father would pick me up and take me back to his farm and later introduce me to his daughter, Annabel, I’d say you were dreaming! It turned out to be so true we wrote a song about it called Hitchhiker. 11.01.2022 What a way to finally kick off the NT Tourist Season! My Team and I were invited to perform at a surprise 50th birthday in Darwin at an amazing venue. It’s been 3 months since the tour finished. I haven’t done any shows since due to COVID. The horses and dogs loved getting back to what they do best and certainly haven’t forgotten their roles! It was a bonus to get our and meet so many great people! ... Tomorrow is the first official Katherine Outback Experience show back in Katherine in 7 months and it’s full! What a way to finally kick things off again! Special thanks to Lennie and Tamra from Discovery One Kimberley Cruises for helping us out in Darwin (check out our Katherine Outback Experience page for a video we took from their amazing boat today) as well as our crew back in Katherine who have worked overtime (many volunteering their time) to get everything ready for tomorrow’s show. 08.01.2022 Very grateful we still get to run about 4 shows per week up here in the NT and sing a few songs as we go! It’s been a rough year alright and we have had to diversify into horse riding lessons, horsemanship schools and experiences and dog training to keep our heads above water but We’re Still Here which is the main thing! A shout out to all the people down south in tougher times, thinking of you guys!

08.01.2022 This is my favourite tree on our place. In the early morning you can see the black cockatoos sitting up high in her branches as the sunlight hits her trunk and throughout the day there’s Galahs, Rainbow Honeyeaters, Kite Hawks and many others chilling out up there. She also provides great shade to pull up for a few minutes to give the horse I’m training time to catch their breath- and mine! So in a recent photo shoot when old mate asked me to look at that big tree over there, I said No worries at all I think sometimes the best things are in your own back yard!

08.01.2022 It’s been a while since we have had a photo together. We have both been run off our feet and usually it’s the other one behind the camera but I took the opportunity for a quick snap between digging out trenches to lay more sprinklers. We have been busy - really busy and have some exciting news to announce over the coming weeks and months! The most exciting is the fact there is another baby on the way very soon!

07.01.2022 Well it’s been one heck of a year so far but there’s light at the end of the tunnel. We’ve had to start young horses for the cattle stations, run horsemanship schools and start up horse riding lessons for locals here in Katherine just to make ends meet. If there’s anything positive to come out of this whole Covid dilemma, its the pushing us out of our comfort zone. Its really made us think outside the box and work harder than ever. So here’s to everyone giving it a crack out there, it’s tough going but we’ve got each other and we’re going to get through!
