16.01.2022 We thought rations were a thing of the past. Hopefully they stay that way. But if this whole coronavirus situation isn't a wake up to Australia to produce our own goods locally, we don't know what is.

16.01.2022 Successive governments have a history of letting foreign investors buy up Australia. At the weekend, the government changed the rules so that all foreign investments must be reviewed by the Foreign Investment Review Board (FIRB). This is a step in the right direction, but it's not far enough. Essentially foreigners can still buy up Australia - they just need FIRB to tick it off first - which has happened regularly in the past.... As Bob Katter said: Leaving the FIRB to protect what’s left of this nation’s great assets is like leaving Sylvester the Cat to protect the canary cage. We cannot stand by and let foreign investors buy up bits of Australia - especially not now when they can buy things cheap. The government must protect Australia now and put a hold on the sale of all strategic, and in many cases non-strategic assets to foreign corporations and powers. We'd be stupid if we didn't think foreign investors were circling waiting to take advantage of us and our weak foreign investment rules. #KAP #KAPteam #coronavirus #COVID19 #foreigninvestment

12.01.2022 We still can't believe this. Bob Katter got up in Federal Parliament and asked for more support for dairy farmers and the government refused. In Queensland alone, the number of dairy farmers has dropped from 1,305 in 2000-2001 to 356 in 2019. If they don't get some support soon, there won't be a dairy industry left to protect.... And the Queensland state Labor government is no better. KAP's state MPs Shane Knuth MP Robbie Katter MP and Nick Dametto MP regularly fight in Queensland state parliament for a fair go for dairy farmers and the major parties knock them back. Shane Knuth's Fair Milk Logo Bill would have meant you could go to a shop and easily identify which milk farmers had been paid a fair price for. Because that milk would have a 'Fair Milk' logo on it. But Labor and the LNP voted that down. We are sick of all the lip service. We need action. KAP won't stop fighting for our dairy farmers. #KAP #KAPteam #dairyindustry #australia #farmers

10.01.2022 Robbie Katter has stepped up to lead Katter's Australian Party. But don't worry, Bob isn't going anywhere! I’ve been sitting up the front of the stage coach long enough, Bob said. I’ll still have the shotgun in my lap, but I’ll be sitting in the back looking at the map.... Bob proudly launched Katter's Australian Party 10 years ago and has taken the party from strength to strength while many other non-major parties have come and gone. Bob's son Robbie has been representing people from a huge part of regional Queensland in state parliament since 2010 as the Member for Mount Isa and now the Member for Traeger. Bob is still the Member for Kennedy. There is no way he will stop fighting for regional Queensland.

02.01.2022 "Critically endangered species - Aussie family farmers." Bob Katter - Couldn't have said it better myself. Agricultural industries across the country have been screwed by the policies of the major parties. I joined Southern Riverina farmers today as they marched on Parliament House over the Murray Darling Basin plan. #CanThePlan
