25.01.2022 Just when you thought it was safe to go back in the water.... Seriously though, this was an amazing experience to have such a magnificent creature cruising around the boat. Wishing everyone a fabulous Christmas and joy and happiness in 2020.

21.01.2022 The sun is finally shining and the winds have blown away, so Tom has finally had a chance to catch a few fish to restock our freezers. Unfortunately we will still be too busy filleting our first-rate reef fish to put in an appearance at the Kurrimine Beach Markets tomorrow, but after enjoying a beautiful morning at the markets please pop in and say hi and check out our freshly cryovacced and blast frozen portion packs. While you are at the markets, make sure you get a ticket or three in the Reef and Beef raffle for a chance to win some of our premium Red Emperor and succulent steak.

18.01.2022 Easter may look and feel different this year as we adjust to the so called new normal. Many of us would have liked to share the weekend with friends and family, perhaps camping or enjoying a mini vacation. This year it will be Easter at home with the immediate family. You can still enjoy a fabulous feed of fantastic first-class reef fish from TomKat Line Fish. We are open by appointment every day until Easter Sunday, but please phone ahead so we can be prepared and ensure social distancing and contactless service. Tom 0409 293 013 and Kath 0403 171 752. 16.01.2022 We achieved a massive milestone on Wednesday transporting our premium quality, fresh reef fish to Josh Niland at St Peter Restaurant, Sydney in our very own Airfreight Approved KoolPak. This has been an amazing journey with many ups, downs and roundabouts, and we've met some fantastic people along the way. To all of you who have helped us get to this point our most sincere thanks. Stay tuned...the KoolPak is coming....Thanks Richie https://richardcurzonphotography.com/ for the photos.

15.01.2022 The TomKat KoolPak generated a lot of interest at Seafood Directions in Melbourne last week. The TomKat KoolPak advanced thermodynamic packaging solution, which replaces polystyrene fish boxes and single-use plastics, aims to significantly reduce avoidable seafood wastage and create more sustainable supply chains.See more here: https://www.ledger3.co/news

09.01.2022 Kath and Tom | Commercial fishers, Kurrimine Beach Being a professional fisherman is something I have always aspired to be. It provides meaning and substance ...in a complex world and really defines who I am. I love every aspect of fishing--from working on my boat, locating and catching fish, processing them. But the real reward is the extremely positive feedback we get from our customers. Our business TomKat Linefish is based on two underlying principles: supplying a premium product and using environmentally responsible practicesit’s that simple! We treat fish as you would any other land-based animal, with respect. We only take what we really needour oceans have given up a lot already. A normal day for me is long, hard and busy, but I see the natural world at its best. If the wind is above 15 knots I often have the offshore ocean to myself, never seeing another boatthat’s perfect! Check out more about TomKat Line Fish here https://www.tomkatlinefish.com Queensland is home to a diverse range of fishing communities: from commercial to recreational, traditional to charter, rookies to pros. Over the next three months we will be sharing want to share your some of their stories about why fishing is important to Queenslanders. Keep a look out for their stories.
