17.01.2022 Various versions of the posters of Tommy Tricker 1 and 2. Variétés d'affiches des deux films.
13.01.2022 Here's the news, Tricker fans. Most of the envelopes and posters have safely arrived in the US and people love what they got. But sales have NOT been up to expectations. That's okay its early days. Haven't we all seen those TED type talks when the guy or Gal who invented some amazing product, tells you how many times she/he failed before it finally took off? Who wants instant success? What bore! We know we've got a great idea here and we know it will work but it may take... some tweaking. I'm thinking that we have to bring back the danger, the danger which is in the original story, when Ralph chants those Magic words and puts himself at the MERCY OF THE MAIL! "I'm ready to sink, I'm ready to tramp. I'm ready to ride this stamp. I'm ready to be as big as a flea, and I have no fear at at all. Yeah, I have no fear at all. So, how do we do that? Well, up to now the special envelopes have been going into a cover envelope which hides the goodies. I did that, worried that some male man (pun) along the way might think it was just too good to pass on. Now I'm thinking, if we really want to offer an interesting product, a real collector's item, we have to take the risk. So, unless you're a real timid type, all envelopes from now on will go out as you see this one here which went to Andrew in the US a couple of days ago, completely unprotected. That's me with the pink horse, by the way, the day we shot the last scene outside Ralph's house I'm thinking I'll call the new mail, the Tommyvelopes. That's pronounced Tommy-VEL-opes. As you see here, each one is signed and dated. So, sometime soon you might be able to boast that you got one of the very first TommyVELopes for just $50 and now you won't sell it for 500 . If you look at the other close-up you'll see that Andrew's envelope has a real Australian stamp in the right hand top corner . That's the tricker sticker which is doing the actual lifting over to him. We will keep the price down for the moment, but if we get overwhelmed with orders, it will have to go up. For the moment also we will guarantee if your envelope doesn't arrive, it will be replaced. So let's see if I find myself giving a TED type talk in the not so distant future, telling how we took off to our amazing success. .. It'll be interesting to see what happens won't it? .
07.01.2022 This give you an idea of the tommy-VEL-opes I'm creating. each envelope is different and I pick and choose between three or four different elements.the photo can be different too. Sometimes it's Nancy. Sometimes it's Albert. Here you see stamps which are actually made out of images from the film in the top left corner. Then the bluenose, so famous in the story, and tiny images of the Mountie stamp . then stamps that I like. The woman singing has no country on it because th...e English invented postage stamps and so they don't have to include the country name. The lovely circular stamp is French. The envelopes cost $50 US including postage and a beautiful hand written letter created by KATYA. As you see each envelope is signed and dated. If you want one you SHOULD email me WITH YOUR PREFERENCES. [email protected]. Please don't dawdle. As Christmas approaches we might get overwhelmed sending Tommy-VEL-opes See more
07.01.2022 Our Xmas envelope might look something like this though every cover, hand made, is different of course. I'm thinking people might like to give an envelope as a present, a way to get friends interested in the Tommy Tricker story and celebrate the magic of stamps.. Is this a good idea?
05.01.2022 Here's the latest news on the envelopes we're sending out. Two important cast members have theirs in the mail as of today. Andrew Whitehead who played Albert, and Lucas Evans who was Ralph. Lucas has allowed us to show what he'll get. Here it is. He doesn't know it yet but he'll also get a letter from me bordered by stamps and and a letter from Charles revealing how to stamp travel.... Now, we have to find Nancy, (Jill Stanley), Tommy, ( Antony Rogers) and Cass, Cass, (Paul Popowich) I would love to find the Chinese cast too. But how? Anyway, Xmas is coming. if you want an envelope for Xmas or before, get your order in fast. We may be overwhelmed. Write to me directly. [email protected]. First come First served!
