01.01.2022 On Nov 3, We will be celebrating the Black Glossy Cockatoo Gala, an information event/fundraiser at Peppers. Check out the photos and a bit on the efforts of Noosa Council working with residents to preserve our wildlife... These recent photos are of a family of Glossy Black Cockatoos feeding on Casuarina seeds. These rare birds are listed as vulnerable under State legislation, so finding them feeding on a Land for Wildlife and Voluntary Conservation Agreement property in the ...Noosa hinterland was a special moment for the landowners. The Casuarina trees they were feeding on were planted in 2013 with funding by Council under the Voluntary Conservation Agreement program.
