09.01.2022 Meet our founder, Gabriele Ciferni. The creator of our famous 16-cm pizzettas! His grandmother first started selling pizzas to beach-goers along the Adriatic Coast back in 1958. Imagine little Gabriele helping out by cycling back and forth between the bakery in Corso Manthonè and the beach with freshly baked pizzas! 10 years later, the first Tonda Pizzeria was born As many as 13 pizzerias were set up in the 60s - some of which are still open today!
