24.01.2022 PROJECT UPDATE Tongala Avenue of Honour upgrade is well on the way. The footings are poured and wait to ‘cure’ in readiness for a very hefty load to be dropped on them. Soon they will support the Centurion Tank that sits patiently a few streets away, ready for the big move But if the tank could talk, it must be secretly excited about the move because next up is a major facelift for it. With a good sandblast and paint job the Centurion Tank will look almost b...rand new again to take pride of place in the Tongala Avenue of Honour. This major project is being brought to life by the 3rd Cavalry Regiment (Vietnam) Association Inc. and fully funded by the Community Bank Tongala & District We are excited to see the end result, but in the mean time we'll keep you updated on the progress. 21.01.2022 LOCAL COMMUNITY CONTRIBUTIONS BOOST With our community being affected by the Coronavirus and a negative impact on so many community groups and proposed events being cancelled in the local area, the Community Bank Tongala is very happy to announce that it has injected a further $35,000.00 into projects and events from January to June this year already. Two big projects supported have been the 3rd Cavalry Regiment (Vietnam) Association to refurbish the Tongala Avenue of Hon...our and another for a Well-being Garden at the Mathoura Public School. We look forward to seeing their progress, albeit at a slower pace this year with so many Covid restrictions in place causing some delays.

09.01.2022 With a year that is so different to anything we have encountered before, we spare a thought for all students. For our 2020 Tertiary Scholarship recipient Lauren Pyke this was no exception. "My first year at university, for sure, has been a little different to what I was expecting! With that being said, and being back at home, my priorities and needs were changed drastically. 05.01.2022 With a successful grant application from the Community Bank Tongala it’s a Game, Set and Match win to the Kyvalley Tennis Club for their courts upgrade project It’s great to see the community rally to a cause and that’s just what happened when Kyvalley Tennis Club looked like folding several years ago. It was the community and a dedicated group of members that got it back on its feet. But to play tennis of course you need usable tennis courts! This is where the Com...munity Bank Tongala has been able to help with a substantial grant to upgrade the synthetic surface of the last two courts in need of repair to bring them up to competition standard.
