16.01.2022 We hope that knowing Winter is over puts a smile on your face!
16.01.2022 **Tongala Childcare** Winter doesn’t stop us from playing outside. Educators encourage children to wear warm jumpers, a coat and/or a beanie but the decision is ultimately up to the child. Choices are a way that children learn responsibility and consequences. Today there was a lot of learning happening in the sandpit. One child made a volcano so educators used a mix of vinegar, bi-carb soda and food dye to make lava erupt from the top of the volcano. This resulted in many smiles from all nearby children. 01.01.2022 **Tongala Childcare** Today the children went outside and were surprised to see all the sticks and a variety of leaves in their outdoor play space. One child picked up a stick and said this would be good for marshmallows on a fire. So educators attached a leaf on the end of everyone’s stick, made a small mound of bark chips (as a fire), the children placed their stick near the fire to toast their marshmallow, then pretended to eat it.... Educators also took this opportunity to discuss, with the children, the storm we had last night and the fact the power had gone off.
01.01.2022 See you all next Thursday 10am-12pm
