21.01.2022 Meet our artists, Sophie and Davidson. And big thanks to Christina for the video, and for being such a big inspiration for doing what I do...

20.01.2022 After months of planning, the mural for the community garden is complete. To say that I am ecstatic with the result would be a massive understatement, it has come up better than I could ever have imagined. I want to give a massive shout out and thanks to Rohan Garth and the guys at Weweld Steelworx for donating the frames. It was a number of months ago that I contacted Rohan and told him about my idea for the mural but had no idea how to achieve it, and with his help we have... made it a success. I also want to thank Dale and the guys at Empire Signs Group for for getting the frames up and sheeted. A few weeks ago I rang Dale and told him about the idea, and that I had the frames however that was as far as I had gotten. With his help, within a short span of time the frames were concreted in the ground, finished off and ready for painting. The biggest thanks though needs to go to Sophie and Davidson. Without their imagination and talent this project would never have gotten anywhere. So thankyou both, you have blown me away with what you have created. If you are into art at all I suggest you take a look at their Instagram pages @art_by_sophletta and @bulatemporaria they both have portfolios of incredible artwork to their names. We are so lucky to have some seriously talented artists living in our community and I can't wait to see what the future holds. So come and enjoy the artwork and spread the word (and maybe munch on some snow peas whilst you are here )

19.01.2022 I have borrowed this from another Post Office's page, however I think that it rings true in all communities. #supportlocal https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=695150787698394&id=170521553494656

09.01.2022 As most people know, I love to support local producers. What you may not know is that I also love hard boiled lollies. I have recently found a way to combine these two things in the form of the Outback Rock Candy company. Produced locally in Kyabram, these little guys are one of my new favorite things and at $4.99 a jar, they are sure to 'rock' your world. Whilst you are at it, head over and give their page a like at - https://www.facebook.com/outbackrockcandy ... and get behind this great local business. #supportlocal #shoplocal #outbackrockcandy

07.01.2022 Has anyone been lucky enough to spot the two latest artworks to appear in Tongala over the weekend?? Created by the talented local artists Sophie Wilson and Davidson Lopes (check them out at @art_by_sophletta and @bulatemporaria on Instagram) they are sure to draw a crowd. With all of the talented artists we have in Tongala, as a small town I think that it is fair to say we are punching well above our weight in the arts scene and I can't wait to see what treasure will be created next.

03.01.2022 Spent some time in the community garden today spreading mulch, and I have to say it has come up a treat. A huge thankyou to Rich River Garden Mulch for the donation of the bags of Lucerne and Pea Straw Mulch. Also a big thanks to Min Nikkleson and the kids for helping with the weeding on Friday and to Mark Halden for helping spread the mulch today.... I also need to give a belated thanks to Kelly Weyland, Kerryn Martin, Lisa Slade, Christine Clifford and the many others who have donated plants. And a superstar thankyou to Sienna Johnstone for the upright herb planter. This garden truly is becoming a community effort.

01.01.2022 Family Tree Thank you sooo much Tyler Stagg at the Tongala Post Office for inviting myself and Bula Temporária to participate in the community veggie garden ...project! And thank you to Rohan Garth for creating and donating the frames, he did a great job! This painting was a sentimental one that is dedicated to my grandparents because it was right there that our family story began. My grandma Naomi came from Eaglehawk to Tongala in 1959 to work at the Post office as a telephonist for just 3 weeks. In that short space of time she met my grandpa Charlie at the post office. They have been married since January 1961! Since that time our loving family has grown, they had 8 children, 18 grandchildren and now have 7 great-grandchildren! This painting represents roots, connection and family
