02.01.2022 COVID-19: What it means for Tonic & Ginger at The Old Synagogue. We are currently going through a very uncertain time. Its a time where we need to work together, remain positive and importantly follow the guidance provided by medical experts and the government. As many may be aware, the government has restricted outdoor gatherings to 500pax and indoor gatherings to 100pax: http://bit.ly/HealthGovAu Despite this, the state government has further clarified the guidance given t...o hospitality venues, and is encouraging people to support their local businesses and to continue to go out to pubs, clubs and restaurants in an attempt to protect the countless hospitality employees impacted. Wed like to thank all of our wonderful guests, staff and suppliers for all of your support to date. Its been a great journey and we are looking forward to being around for many years to come. We are fortunate in the way our venues are laid out. Many of the spaces are outdoors and the vast majority of spaces are limited in capacity to up to 50pax. We will be significantly reducing the overall capacity of the precinct and larger rooms within the venue will have capacity restricted. Please be understanding and work with our staff when capacity limits are enforced. The reduced capacity is for the safety of everyone in our community. The decision to remain open has been made following the current advice of the government and also takes into account our hope to support our 100+ staff with employment through this difficult time. Our health and safety procedures have been thoroughly reviewed and will continue to be updated based on advice of the government and health professionals. Our entire team will be regularly washing their hands and all surfaces are being wiped down and disinfected continually. We will be encouraging the use of tap and go payment methods.
