05.01.2022 Presenting . . . Upper House by ARIA Property Group This project was extremely complex from both a design and aspect point of view which required the whole team to apply innovative ideas The project posed some unusual traits as all the construction needed to occur on the 4th storey of the building. We had to begin with demolishing and disposing of the existing structure with all access being via a crane, on weekends only ... After demolition, 47 tonnes of structural steel had to be methodically added to the existing superstructure. This new structure doubles the previous level 4 building footprint The Upper House display has its fair share of stunning finishes with the glazing system from Germany, the external facade from Japan and the feature 18m long TV from overseas. The end result exceeded everyones expectations, producing this timeless display in just 14 weeks, post structural steel being installed. Our client was beyond ecstatic with Tonic Projects performance and Koichi Takada Architects was so grateful that his vision was successfully brought to life...
