19.01.2022 Jonquils and Seville oranges - two of our seasonal favourites in the Southern Highlands. With their bitter flesh and skin, Seville oranges are perfect for making tangy marmalade and that’s exactly where this mini harvest will end up.

15.01.2022 A blast from the past steamed through the Southern Highlands on Saturday and Highlife photographer Tony Sheffield knew just the spot to capture this historic lo...comotive in all its glory. The privately-owned Beyer-Garratt locomotive 6029 brought visitors from Sydney for a sold-out trip with options to alight at Bowral for a stroll through Tulip Time in Corbett Gardens, or on to Moss Vale for lunch. All aboard! See more

11.01.2022 It takes time and patience to create beautiful gardens - and plenty of both to photograph them. The gardens we feature in each issue of the magazine are capture...d at different times to showcase seasonal planting, and spring is (naturally) the busiest time of year for Highlife photographer Tony Sheffield. Yesterday he caught this lovely white dogwood having its moment in the sun. 08.01.2022 Getting out and about in the Southern Highlands can lead to all sorts of opportunities. The owners of Trungley with its grand driveway lined with ornamental pea...rs (pictured here) first spotted the property during a garden ramble and loved it for its size, aspect, privacy and proximity to Bundanoon. Read about the clever transformation of a 1990s project home into the ultimate country weekender in the Aug/Sept issue of Highlife magazine, out now. See more

08.01.2022 With scenes like this, is it any wonder the Bowral Classic has become a popular fixture on the Australian cycling calendar? Organisers expect more than 3000 cyc...lists in the Highlands this weekend with four courses on offer, including the 35km Social Classic (with cake stops), the 90km Rouleurs Classic and the 120km Challenge Classic. The Maxi Classic, nicknamed ‘The Beast’, takes in Berrima, Exeter, Kangaloon and Bowral’s Oxley Hill in its 175km course. Best of luck to all!
