18.01.2022 Everyone loves a good attic conversion - as a way of achieving more floor space. This one required lowering the ceiling beneath it. Then you have to factor in the space you loose to fit the stairs & the engineering to hold up the roof. So its a trade off. On the upside the new room looks generous because youve got all that lower than head height space which works for storage and ( unofficially) lying down. Anyway TFD pulled this one off quite well... I think.(ceiling fan installed by owner)

03.01.2022 A crumbling heritage cottage on a big block. It went cheap because no one knew what to do with it (not allowed to knock it down). Plenty of room for the add-on, but the cottage had to keep its free-standing status. The new part had to be compatible but different (with a minimal link) to the cottage. Voila .... Presto ... A house for a family and cottage for the senior parents.
