01.01.2022 In Feb 2017 I released my album called Natural at Lizottes in Newcastle. This is my daughter, Sophie singing the title track from that album with me on guitar, Sue carson on violin, Michael Hawke on clarinet and Jim Porteus on bass . I wrote the song about Sophie's grandmother who was pursuaded to adopt her baby out in the early 1960's because she was unmarried. That baby was Sophie's mother who eventually reunited with her birth mother and her five other sisters in the 1990's. At this troubled time of Covid19 and all of it's social restrictions, I thought it appropriate to post this song about being forced apart from each other !
