24.01.2022 A wonderful artist.

23.01.2022 So, the Museum has re-opened from Thursday to Saturday between the hours of 10 am to 2 pm. There have been some very interesting visitors and a few new members... as a result. On Tuesday 23 June we held out first general meeting since February at the RSL Hall - observing social distancing and signing in etc - all under the watchful eye of the Hall manager Doug Cook. The meeting was also attended by our Federal MP, the Member for Blair, Hon Shayne Neumann and Somerset Region's Deputy Mayor Cr Helen Brieschke. They made some very helpful contributions to our decision-making regarding future activities. There was strong interest in our guest speaker, author Thea Hayes and she completely blew us away with the story of her amazing life as a rural nurse and so many other things. The next general meeting will be on 18 August with another great guest speaker - so watch this space. In the meantime keep and eye out for other activities by the History Group. See more

23.01.2022 Today the Toogoolawah & District History Group held its last general meeting for 2020. It has been a strange year but in spite of that we have achieved a great ...deal. Between February and November and despite three months of lockdown, we have had three inspiring guest speakers on topics from the real History of the Golden Casket in Queensland by respected historian Carmel Black, across to author Thea Hayes on the life or a Rural nurse and finishing the year with a discourse from one of Australia's living legends, author Everald Compton, who spoke to us about his latest book, Dinner with the Founding Fathers. He made us think and made us laugh. Our Federal MP Hon Shayne Neumann was also on hand and did the Vote of Thanks. He knows Everald well and did him proud. Copies of this amazing book will be on sale at the Toogoolawah History Museum so pop in Thursday to Saturday to secure your copy. We finished the year with Christmas lunch at Toogoolawah Hotel and made some important decisions about ideas for our renewal program in 2021. Watch this space! See more

06.01.2022 Dear Friends. There have been several messages recently about a possible re=opening for our Markets. After more than five years of very hard work our market coordinator has had to step back to look after her own family business. Apart from that our site makes it very difficult to manage the COVID19 regulations on both market stallholders and market operators. Things are improving in that regard from Tuesday but until we can find someone, a local community group or a couple of volunteers to manage the markets, the History Group Committee is not in a position to re-open right now. If you want to do it of know someone who may be able to help, please leave a message on this page or call us on 0455 177 679. It has been a tough year for everyone and we would love to be able to open up again asap.

06.01.2022 We would like to thank all our valued customers who supported us during Covid 19 while we did our no contact orders. We will be opening to the public as of Tue...sday 10am. Our opening hours are Tuesday to Saturday 10am to 4pm. If you would prefer to phone or text your orders and continue with our no contact pick up please phone me on 0418198870. We are looking forward to seeing you all again real soon. We have a large range of stock available in the nursery. Seedling Punnets $2.50 each . Pots of herbs $3.50 each. Fruit trees $28 to $45. Natives Lavenders Cactus Succulents Many many shrubs. See more

05.01.2022 Hello to all our lovely stallholders and market-goers. We are not able to hold the markets this weekend but plan to restart our program of holding the markets on the second Saturday of each month from October. We know it has been a long delay but the nature of our site makes it more difficult to manage to meet essential COVID19 regulations. We will be in touch with stallholders in the next three weeks to advise what their responsibilities are. We look forward to seeing all of you on Saturday 10th October all being well.

04.01.2022 We,ve got some beautiful concrete ornaments which have just arrived.

03.01.2022 I know some people like to create their family trees but I did what I call my Family Boot Door. If you know my family you will be able to work out who owns what. One member of my family missing but I hope to get it soon. The ground area is not finished yet.

03.01.2022 Looks interesting. Good to support

03.01.2022 Great product. Lovely people. Don't miss out
