25.01.2022 Great news from the Commissioner for QFES for SES,RFB and Auxiliary Firefighters today - From 15 May Recommence training for auxiliary firefighters and volunte...ers, with no more than 10 people attending at a time. Brigade, Unit or Group meetings allowed with no more than 10 people at a time. Physical distancing and workplace hygiene measures to be applied during any training or meetings. From 12 June Staggered return to work for those who have been working at home, while recognising the needs of people in ‘at risk’ categories. Physical distancing and workplace hygiene measures to remain. Commence community safety services such as building fire safety and planned assessments. Training and meetings increased to allow no more than 20 people at a time. See more

24.01.2022 Recently our Vertical Rescue team has increased their specialised training schedule due to the rise in Search and Rescues that require Vertical Rescue with...in the Scenic Rim We strongly urge hikers and climbers to stay on track always and to follow the following important tips: Research the hike prior Ensure your health and fitness allows you to safely complete the hike Monitor the weather reports prior to your hike Ensure someone knows your departure and arrival times Ensure you pack a back pack with basic first aid, water, food etc Wear appropriate clothing/footwear Download maps or take a paper version Download the Emergency + App Stay safe and have fun!
