23.01.2022 a great fun night to finish of an excellent term of judo - we are fortunate to have such a lovely group of well behaved, respectful kids and teenagers and older players who are all learning so well. Our Judoka of the year, Ryan Nielsen, was presented with the perpetual trophy by Cr Jade Wellings, and we thank her for taking time from her busy schedule to come to our teams competition and breakup for 2020 . Ryan was this years recipient for many reasons- his attentive inte...rest, willingness to help with the younger students, his respect and attitude - a good example of what judo is about. We also had a special trophy this year, for the judoka who was the most involved in the online judo during Covid closed-down days . Leo Becker was the most responsive with his involvement, in fact, completed the most tasks from all the Kodokan Clubs in Qld - even did the challenge from our friends in Japan, to video some push-ups different from the regular style- well done Leo. Toogoom Judo will have a break over the school holidays, and start again during the week school starts .......thanks for all our families for their interest and support, and look forward to seeing you all again in 2012 - new members welcome at all times. 02.01.2022 not long now until we can return to club !!.....assuming ''the virus'' still stays away of course !! - because it is close to the school holidays, we will start again on the first Thursday after the holidays, 8th October - then we can enjoy a full 10 weeks uninterrupted time of fun, friendship, fitness - and judo. We hope to welcome some new members who have made enquiries recently, - good times ahead
