23.01.2022 Walker Corporation is taking its development expertise to Maroochydore town centre. They are joining what is described as a landmark agreement between Sunshine Coast Council, SunCentral Maroochydore Pty Ltd and Walker Corporation that will see Walker Corporation invest $2.5 billion into the project. What chance they might be attracted to Maroochydore and decide to depart the Toondah Town PDA?

20.01.2022 Sometimes it is like $&%%^*& in the wind but we have to keep trying! Harping is one of the few tools available because governments are really hard at hearing and even worse at listening.

19.01.2022 Trad's loss in South Brisbane had a lot to do with questions about integrity...including when she announced Labor's shock 'green light' for the Newman Government's irresponsible and unnecessary Toondah Harbour Priority Development Area (PDA) at Cleveland, where the ferries depart for Straddie. AND when Trad was the Planning Minister, the unexplained, massive expansion of Walker Corporation's real estate over protected wetlands scheme, from 800 high-rise units under the LNP, to 3,600 under Labor, was revealed. e.g. see https://bit.ly/TradFavoursForWalkerCorp

13.01.2022 Koalas are dying as a direct result of government policies of extermination. Defenceless wildlife is being deliberately wiped out because it’s in the way of development (like the Toondah PDA), infrastructure, forestry, urbanisation, mining and unsustainable population growth through high levels of immigration. Toondah is a classic case of greedies dominating the debate and having to power to make decisions against the public interest or worse...in secret!

13.01.2022 Well, Toondah events (including protests can begin again....reminding people of how our community is being conned by the rush to appease property developers over community interests...Toondah is well established as a political issue and the days of protesters being 20 or 30 people are fully debunked. Imagine if the PR campaign of Government and council had focussed on the truth instead of spin...Toondah would be dead and buried by now...the saving in social capital would be $100k's...instead, the spin and propaganda of jobs and free infrastructure remains the currency of the proponents...

13.01.2022 Toondah, as is, is so much more than the sum of its parts...but the planning done in 2012-2014 ignored so much of the values, science and policy settings that it looks more and more like a reversion to the days of the white shoe brigade...development is good and big development is better...how sad and how pathetic. Oh and keep the community in the DARK!

12.01.2022 Another Minister for State Development and another Minister taking responsibility for the Toondah PDA...surely it is time the responsible Minister actually came to Cleveland to explain why such a massive development IN Moreton Bay is in any way in the public interest. Previous responses to a swag of Ministerial and responses to Parliamentary are at least verging on malfeasance, and misleading Parliament. Minister Miles might like to take an interest in the impacted community V the vested interests his predecessors favoured.

08.01.2022 ... the deck chairs are shuffled...is Minister Miles the Minister for Toondah? Will he be the first Minister in this debacle to listen to the community....or will he go for an early lunch with the vested interests?

06.01.2022 Toondah is a special place...and the mud is part of it being special. Lining it with concrete, aluminium and glass will destroy that which is special.
