25.01.2022 Cancelled.... due to some awesome hardworking members that have bet us to it. WORKING BEE!!! Well, good news members, we can ride as a club again and just in time for our Christmas breakup. A few of the club members got together with the pony club to clean up after a couple of dangerous trees were cut down and burn the branches as well as a general clean up. After getting the place looking pretty good guess what, mother nature decided that we needed to do a bit more and bl...ew a few more branches down. Branches are moved but there is still a bit to clean up. If you have time this Sat 28th (9am) please wander over and pick up sticks, whipper snip around the shed etc and clean out the shed to make it ready for next weekend. See more

23.01.2022 Members and friends The working bee this Saturday has been cancelled due to the amount of rain. We will keep you informed when we are able to reschedule.

15.01.2022 For anyone wanting to help the communities affected by fires here is how you can help. East Gippsland Fires - How can you help ? This relief effort is being facilitated by... Hay running legends Tarrah and Phil Stacey, Kelly Van Den Berg, Tegan Hector and Kylie Dann at Gippsland Horse Safe Bushfire Assistance and Jaidyn McLellan who organising the generous donations and considerable logistics of getting hay and feed where it’s needed. $7 buys a square bale $30 buys a bag of feed $70 buys a round bale Even if every person on my friends list all donated $10 each, that’s a sizeable contribution to what will be a massive effort to keep stock fed. Account details* Account name - Fire Relief BSB 062692 ACC 18595889 We will NOT be using any donations for fuel or transport costs. All monies will go directly to purchasing fodder. Purchases will be receipted and updated on this post so you can see exactly where your donations have gone. There are produce stores being approached to secure an account to purchase feed for stock and domestic animals at cost price to purchase with the donated money. We have a depot set up well out of the fire threat in Fulham, which is providing immediate donations to anyone coming out of the fire ground in need and also serving as a base to direct fodder donations that can be trucked off once we have authority to access those hardest hit in the fire ground. If you can donate hay or help please go to this form https://docs.google.com//1FAIpQLSey84MC56fjMKRho/viewform We have trucks getting loaded to take donated hay direct to the people bedding it in the black zones behind roadblocks as we are currently obtaining permits to travel through to these areas. Please help where you can For regular updates https://www.facebook.com/groups/GippslandHorsesafe/?ref=share #firerelief #gippslandhorsesafe

15.01.2022 Hello Members and friends I hope you and your horses have all survived the past few months and are ready to go. I am not sure when the club will start up again but I would like to wait until we can have more than 10 on a ride. As you have all probably received the note from ATHRA regarding the rolling over of the fees into 2021 for those club members that have paid the club fees for 2020 before Sept 30th. ... The Executive of the Toongabbie club has agreed that for those that have paid their club fees for 2020 these will also be rolled over for the 2021 year. If you are unsure whether you have paid your club fees or not, firstly have a look back through your bank statements to check or secondly check up with Nicole and she will be able to let you know. If you haven’t paid the club fees but have paid ATHRA then you probably need to get your self into gear and pay the club fee if you want be able to save having to pay ATHRA at the end of this year. 13.01.2022 Hello fellow riders, Because of the uncertainty around covid 19 the club will not be running anyrides soon. We will review this decision at an executive meeting in September and hope that the situation will become more favourable. In the meantime lets post some of our most fav pics with our ponies.

02.01.2022 We had a lovely May ride led by Gavin Osborne. We all met down Onleys road Gormandale on a fantastic sunny day. A total of 11 riders came and Gavin led us along some easy going bush tracks through the bush following along Merrimans creek and up and down some nicely treed gullies . We poped out the other side and saw some lovely views of Merrimans creek flats. When we reached the top we had the opportunity to have a nice canter and trot down the road before heading home back through the bush. Back at the float we had a lovely BBQ lunch cooked by Karen. Thanks Gavin for leading a lovely ride, Karen for cooking and towing the chuck wagon and club members for a wonderful day.
