24.01.2022 Friday 7th August 2020 is Australian Primary Principals Day. This year has highlighted the critical role of our primary schools principals. The students at TEPS have a special message for Mrs Haggett. We thank you for all your hard work in making our school a better place to learn.

23.01.2022 Year 6 Farewell Assembly Reminder Tomorrow we are holding a small, year 6 farewell assembly. All year 6 parents/carers are invited to attend and celebrate your child’s primary school graduation. We look forward to seeing you all at 2.15pm in the library.

23.01.2022 Dear Parents and Caregivers, Exciting News! TEPS SRC Leaders 2020... The Toongabbie East Public School SRC consists of nine members, two students from each class and a student from our support unit. The goal of the SRC is to promote fun and engagement through activities and events. These students are going to meet each week on a Friday to decide and plan awareness events, charity fundraisers, playground games and school fundraisers. Our student leaders were voted in by their peers in week 1 and 2 this term. Congratulations to these representatives: Jacob & Oscar (K/1B) Sebastian (K-6D) Benjamin & Yara (1/2F) Chermin & Neha (3/4LO) Lucy & Dekoda (5/6R) We are very excited to establish this student leadership team. 23.01.2022 Our local MP Mr Mark Taylor visited Toongabbie East Public School to view our newly opened retail shop - The Burrow. He was met by our conscientious, hard working school leaders and was amazed by how unique and special this shop concept is. Being one of only two school retail spaces in NSW, we too are very excited about this opportunity for our students. The MP attended our whole school assembly and generously presented our P&C with a $3000 cheque, for purchasing sporting equipment. We thank Mr Mark Taylor for his ongoing support of public education and Toongabbie East Public School.

23.01.2022 Today is National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Childrens Day. Toongabbie East PS celebrated by creating beautiful artworks and reflecting on the importance of culture and identity.

17.01.2022 Our P&C Annual General Meeting will be held on Wednesday, 16th December. This meeting will be to elect executive positions for the 2021 P&C. Meeting will be in the library at 3.15pm and we look forward to seeing parents/carers then.

17.01.2022 Good afternoon everyone, We wanted a mural to not only brighten up some of the old, brick walls at TEPS, but to promote togetherness and the importance of working together to achieve common goals. The mural represents the journey and becoming connected as a school community. The travelling pattern is all about the journey as students learn or the way they will travel up through the grades each year together. The white section of this style highlights the travelling elements. We hope our students and school community look at it and think about how much we can achieve if we work in unison together.

When picking or dropping children off early or late please phone the school office and we will meet you at the gate. Please also phone the office if you require a uniform order. 13.01.2022 Remembrance Day 2020 at TEPS The red poppy is the emblem of remembrance. Students at Toongabbie East created their own red poppies and placed them in front garden of the school to pay respect to those soldiers who laid down their lives in a Flanders’ Field World War I. #remembranceday #lestweforget

12.01.2022 Kindy Orientation 2020 Kindy Orientation is on tomorrow from 9:30 to 11am. Please look out for the below signs and balloons to lead your way to drop your children. * Due to the COVID regulations, parents are to drop their children at the drop off zone with the kindergarten teacher and support teachers. ... * Parents have to sign-in their child and complete the COVID form at the drop off zone. * Please be aware for everyones safety, all attendees including parents, carers and students must be well and free of any flu like symptoms. *Parents are only allowed to stay for 10 minutes on site and are to adhere to social distancing requirements at all times. We look forward to meeting our new kindergarten students soon.

12.01.2022 Member of Parliament (MP) Visits TEPS MP for Seven Hills, Mark Taylor, visited Toongabbie East Public School today. He enjoyed seeing the wonderful work that is happening here. We thank him for his time and support of our school. Thank you to our P&C President, Sarah Irani, for organising this meeting. It’s a great partnership with many opportunities for our school and students.

10.01.2022 Assemblies for 2021 Our assemblies will be on Wednesday afternoons in weeks 3,6 and 9 again this year. Unfortunately due to COVID-19 regulations parents/carers are unable to attend. Parents of students in kindergarten, year 1 and year 2 are able to be on school grounds, to drop and pick up children only. Thank you for your understanding during this time.

09.01.2022 Exciting News for TEPS Community We are very happy that our new canteen is opening next week, on Wednesday 17th February. The canteen will be open on Wednesdays and Thursdays each week. All lunch orders must be submitted by 9am. Please make sure to write your child's name, class name, food order and money given clearly on a paper bag. Orders can be placed at the canteen or once in class, but need to be in no later than 9am. ... The canteen will be open from 11-15-11.40am on both days for students to purchase drinks, fruit and snacks. See more
