Daphne is an accountable and passionate young advocate for women empowerment, so much that she was elected by @unicefaustralia to be 1 of 10 young people to represent their state in the UNICEF Australia Young ambassadors program. Daphne is not only representing SYDNEY, but @girlguidesnswactnt, @girlguidesaustralia, @wagggs_world and all young women across the globe! Her energy and charisma is infecti...ous and we are Incredibly blessed and humbled to call you a Toongabbie Senior Guide. Working with kids in the past, I’ve realised that children have a lot to say and what they say is important, and needs to be heard! Through Girl Guides, I have had a lot of older girls to look up to and that has really made a big impact on me. It gave me role models to look up to and aspire to be like. Seeing older girls doing all these things made me realise that I am capable of doing these things as well. And now, I want to be that person for younger girls.

12.01.2022 In January, some of our Toongabbie Senior Guides ventured up to Queensland where they became @seaworldaus Ambassadors for the wild. This magical encounter educated us on how incredible this mammal truly is! We learnt all about the dolphins life style, natural behaviours and habits, how to protect their home, and the most importantly we were educated on the rehabilitation journey and program that Sea World provides to these dolphins and other marine animals. We are incredib...ly humbled to have been able to have shared this experience, but are also proud to have made a contribution for funding future rehabilitation for injured dolphins and other marine life!
