20.01.2022 One of my favorites from Saturday’s art workshop called ‘Arty Party’ - birthday party for 10 year old twins hosted by @tootsie_gallerycafe. This is a cross between a cow, pig, butterfly and kangaroo. We were painting farm animals and this young creator couldn’t decide which was her favorite so she painted them all!

19.01.2022 Creative kids exploring their inner animals in these two fun painting workshops at Tootsie. We talked about animals we love, why we relate to them, what we can learn from them and everyone took home their animal masterpiece. Thank you to all the great young artists who made today’s workshops so much fun.

18.01.2022 This gorgeous human Grace Bryant will be in the gallery tomorrow if you’d like to meet the artist in person for our current exhibition ’Hopeful’. Half of the exhibition is sold so get in quick if you love her work as much as I do.

18.01.2022 Today we welcomed a really great group to Tootsie. Part of United Trikers Australia who are staying in Yass on their travels around the towns. I love seeing community groups getting together and connecting with similar interests. I even got to sit on one of their gorgeous bikes!

15.01.2022 Christmas Party the Tootsie way. Viking outing to @axxecanberra where we learned how to throw axes at wooden targets. Thank you to the best team for a fun year, for adapting with all the Covid regulations, putting in the yards when we get super busy and for creating such an amazing place to be. I receive so many compliments on how friendly and beautiful the staff are at Tootsie.

13.01.2022 5 years ago today, with my family by my side, I cut the ribbon to open my dream business. Celebrating a creative life, connecting with others, community and a place that feels like home. Although a lot has changed over the years -from white walls to coloured spaces, and from learning as I go to working out what works best for me - the purpose to live doing what I love has always remained the same. Thank you to all the amazing humans who have worked here, loyal regular customers who support Tootsie, locals, travelers and artists who have supported and contributed to us flying through our first five years and into the future. Tootsie is living proof that a dream can become a reality. Running a small business can be hard work - living a life where your not passionate about what your doing is well.........

06.01.2022 Highlights from this weekends mosaic workshop. Thank you to this beautiful group of humans who came and learned some new skills in glass cutting, mosaic creating and grouting techniques. I love creating and sharing my knowledge and mistakes I have made along the way to teach lots of shortcuts and tips in this art form. Lots of workshops happening next year.

05.01.2022 We are taking a break for the holidays this year. Tootsie will re-open Wednesday 13th January 2021. Wishing all our wonderful friends, regulars, followers and creatives a wonderful Christmas and New Year. Thank you for your support throughout 2020. It’s been a fabulous year of creating bright colours and spaces in our Covid closure time, workshops - more than ever, hosting inspiring exhibitions, meaningful conversations, meeting new fabulous people, mentoring people in an amazing venue and receiving so much community support. I am excited to create even more in 2021 and bring the Art into the Deco for Yass!
