25.01.2022 Shooting Line Progress............. Looking good.

24.01.2022 Dear Members, On Sunday the 25th of October we have organized to visit DDFA to do an IFAA field target animal round. On that weekend the shotgun club has another skeet shoot, therefore we only have permission to shoot the National back to archery tournament on the Saturday, there will be no practice or Ozbow at our club that weekend. ... Members need to meet at DDFA at 8:15am. The club is located at 69 Williams rd Cranley, off Old Goombungee rd. Cost will be $10. The round should be lots of fun, we will be shooting a series of field targets at known but varying distances. There is a twist, distances are in yards not metres. Distances, depending on class, will vary from 10 yards (~9m) to 60 yards (~55m). Therefore good sight settings will be needed and a conversion chart from metres to yards. You could also use a calculator and multiply the yardage by 0.914 to convert to metres. The following week DDFA will be visiting our club to shoot. We hope this will become an annual event and it will promote friendship and closer ties between the two clubs. DDFA serves lunch half way through the shoot, so they would like a rough idea of how many of our members will attend. Please reply to this email if you will be participating. Kind regards, TCA Management committee.

23.01.2022 Back to Archery - National Tournament at Toowoomba Company of Archers. Please Read attached for details about this Saturday's shoot & divisions available to shoot in. Thanks... TCA Committee.

21.01.2022 Just posting a message from one of our new members (Ian Draper) sent through to us. It's a big part of what we try to do for our members when we can to get their bow tuned / suited to them & shooting straight. " Big thanks to Andrew and Franga for helping me with my bow and trying to help me shoot straight. "... Ian Draper Ian sent pics of his last end shooting with myself & Andrew - it was windy & he was very tired as he was shooting 12 arrows each end & pulled out a good effort for his last end **** Also to add it was at 40m on a very small target **** Well done bud, keep up the effort Michael Condon TCA President.

18.01.2022 Bit of info for peeps in the AA Tournament.

14.01.2022 BackToArchery Officials Update Some clubs who wish to participate are currently unable to due to their club’s lack of a judge, judge candidate, event ju...dge or club official. Given the event is being run to encourage participation we'd like to make the following amendment to the event rules. Each event shall be run as per any AA Registered tournament. To allow maximum participation across Australia, clubs should seek the assistance of any AA Judge, Judge Candidate, Event Judge or AA accredited Club Official to make sure they are to run the event correctly. If one of these officials is not available the club can nominate a member of the committee or suitably experienced person who will be responsible for running the shoots and submitting the Event Verification Form at the completion of each day’s shoot. We, along with the AA Officials Committee, hope clubs might use the BacktoArchery Tournament as an opportunity to find club members who may wish to become Club Officials and Event Judges. Course modules to qualify for these roles are available online.
