25.01.2022 Dear Members 2021 Membership Renewals are being rolled out today. Members who have an email will receive their Renewal via email while Members without an email ...address on the ASHS database will receive their Renewal via post shortly. Currently the Online Renewal platform is turned off while we put security updates in place. We will have this up-and-running as soon as possible. Members who need to renew urgently for 2021 are welcome to email their renewal to Head Office or alternatively please call the team at the ASHS who can take a payment over the phone. 24.01.2022 Peter Blundell It is with much sadness that the ASHS learned of the passing of Peter Blundell, from Stanthorpe, Queensland on the weekend. Peter joined the Soci...ety in March 1972 and was the inaugural President of the Queensland State Management Council and an ASHS Classifier in the early years of the Society. Horses were a part of Peter's everyday life. He was a talented and passionate horseman, stockman and poet and a successful competitor in the show ring and the campdraft arena. Peter was a much loved and highly respected Member of the Society and was awarded Honorary Life Membership in 1990. He was the perfect gentleman and always treated people with respect. According to Peter’s son James, Peter always considered his contribution to the ASH Breed the most worthwhile he’d made to anything during his life. Peter regarded it as a privilege to be instrumental in defining the ASH Breed that was suited to such a broad and diverse suite of purposes. The Society has much to be grateful for that it had Members like Peter who were dedicated and passionate about our breed and who were committed to its development and recognition. Peter will be very sadly missed but long remembered. Our thoughts are with the family at this time. James Blundell
