20.01.2022 Hello everyone. Sorry its been so long between post. We have been busy at Local Gas trying to juggle our busy times. Lets start with the bad, we are having a price increase on the gas. Unfortunately due to increased operating cost (fuel, insurance,government fees, rego, cost of gas supply etc) we have to increase the price of 45kg cyls delivered to $128 effective January 1st 2019. The rental will stay the same at $25 per cylinder. We are looking at having a common date... for the rental to be due and payable and therefore have not been sending out rental invoices. Those that have paid in the last few months will be charged a pro-rata amount when due. We are looking at February for this so early in the new year we will send you a rental invoice. Feel free to text orders straight to my mobile on 0437889851 or please call 1300669512 We have also started a new young driver from the Hattonvale area to help out and take some of the pressure off Dave and Jason. JOEL will be doing a couple of days per week. So if you see a young guy pushing your gas in say hi and point him to where your cylinders are located. Thanks Also did you know that you can spray a mixture of washing up detergent and water to make the soapy water we use to check for leaks. Its a good idea to do this often on all exposed gas fittings especially on your regulator. We have had a few in the last few weeks that have been leaking. This can sometimes explain a quicker then normal use of gas. (They cost around $300 to replace and should be replaced between 5 and 10 years) we do check with soapy water at time of every delivery. Lisa will be answering the phones when Rus is not able (i do get busy). Lisa was the owner of Redcliffe gas, who we joined with last year. Redcliffe gas looks after the northsideof Brisbane focussing mainly in the North lakes, Burpengary Redcliffe areas. So if you move or have friends and family over there please pass on our details ans have them mention you when they order. Please remember that we are also licensed plumbers and gasfitters and specialise in hot water installs andreplacements. 20.01.2022 Butane cookers are a great appliance in Winter to cook some hearty food on the run, but they can also be dangerous. If you’re using a cooker that you’ve had for... a while, check that your model hasn’t been suspended or recalled. You also need to ensure when you’re using a butane cooker that you’re only using it for what is was intended for (e.g. simple stovetop).
