25.01.2022 This Saturday, 5 September at the Toowoomba Showgrounds from 8.30am we have the Queensland Mounted Infantry Challenge involving ten teams replicating the field skills of the original Light Horsemen, including tent pegging, bayonets, swords, lances and rifles. Skilled women and men will put their ponies through their paces and give us an indication of what it must have been like all those years ago. You’re invited, there’s no charge, bring a picnic lunch and please be COVID aware and remember social distancing, plus you can have a peep at the evolving Toowoomba Showgrounds Wilderness Challenge course! We look forward to seeing you there

22.01.2022 Andrew Conway and Ewan Guymer have done a wonderful job on constructing the Monkey Bars for the Toowoomba Showgrounds Wilderness Challenge. I caught up with them yesterday and they tell me they're hopeful of having the course completed by year's end.

Get out there are taste your favourite chips and marvel at the number of caravanners who are calling the Showgrounds home during the crazy COVID-19 period we're in. 9.30am to 4.00pm each day.

18.01.2022 Well that's the rock climbing wall in place at the Toowoomba Showgrounds Wilderness Challenge, it's but one of ten impossible obstacles at the Toowoomba Showgrounds. When finished, this amazing facility will be available to all citizens to use at no cost. Pop out and see it during the week, up Glenvale Road.

12.01.2022 Thanking The Chronicle journalist Matthew Newton for this beaut article about our 5 kilometre obstacle course which is in an advanced stage of construction. The course will feature ten impossible obstacles and will be open to citizens for free. We thank sincerely the Department Housing and Public Works Sport and Recreation Services for making the $97,500 grant possible, the beneficiaries of which will be citizens of the Toowoomba Region. If you'd like to have a look at the course and the completed obstacles please head out to the showgrounds on weekdays.

Tomorrow , Saturday and Sunday 18/19/20 September, Australia's favourite Shannons Chips will be open for business just inside the Toowoomba Showgrounds main gates along with coffee, fairy floss and show bags concessions. If you need a show-fix make sure you make your way there!
