25.01.2022 Year 10’s received a visit from University of Southern Queensland to experience some hands on activities related to the Nursing, Engineering and Sport and Exercise faculty’s. The USQ representatives also gave the students some information about ‘head start’ University study in Year 11 and 12.



24.01.2022 Our Beyond the Broncos students had a special presentation afternoon to celebrate excellence in 2020! Well done!

24.01.2022 Students in Year 12 Hospitality Practices have just completed their Restaurant Project. Over three evenings, students rotated in teams between Back of House (BOH), Front of House (FOH), food service and drinks, to serve family and staff, and gain experience in all aspects of restaurant dining. Well done Year 12 and Hospitality staff!

22.01.2022 Tony from Tony’s Community Kitchen thanked our school community for its food donations. Together, we collected 800 items to help those in need. The EALD classes donated the most and are the winners of the pizza party, provided by the Well-being team.

18.01.2022 Year 10 students Kerenza, Mackenzie, Sian and Sierra took part in the 2020 STEM Girl Power Virtual Summit. They joined girls from around Queensland to discuss climate change issues and negotiate for action. These students had the opportunity to link up with STEM Girl Power graduates as well as females who work in STEM professions in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths.

16.01.2022 Flourish Community Gardens is a Not-for-Profit, health promotion charity run by Dr Dannielle Carter in Toowoomba. The Flourish Community believes all people should have access to fresh healthy produce and the knowledge to use it to nourish themselves and their families to prevent disease. TSHS Clontarf Academy are regular visitors to the gardens - learning, contributing and enjoying the produce. We now have a dedicated Clontarf garden row, where the boys have pulled ...weeds, mulched the soil and planted seeds. Regular visits are planned to see the process, from seed to plate. A huge cauliflower was picked during a recent visit and consumed the next day in a curry! Thank you to the team at Flourish Gardens for having us!

11.01.2022 Year 10 students celebrated the last week of term with awards, barbecue and social time. Next term, this cohort are officially Year 11! Good luck!

11.01.2022 Grade 9 students, Ileeza and Daisy, have been selected from applicants ranging from age 14-24 to be part of the 2021 Toowoomba Regional Council Youth Leadership Program. This is an amazing opportunity for these aspiring leaders. They will be presented with a variety of experiences that will help them to build their skills. Congratulations Ileeza and Daisy. We wish you a successful year as Youth Leadership members.
