25.01.2022 Birds fly. Before they are able to do so certain things must occur. Their wings must become strong; the weather must be just right. We too can learn to fly with the Holy One. Before we are able to do so certain things must occur. Changes will need to be made, such as letting go of attitudes that hinder our growth; that prevent our wings from becomming strong. Then we can launch out with conftdence; we can soar like an eagle on the current of holy Love.

He brought hope into the lives of a downtrodden people. During this advent season we need to be bringers of hope to people around us. Christmas lights are fine, better to et your own light shine.

20.01.2022 I sat in the early morning stillness waiting to hear the voice of my Beloved. I waited, but all was still, even the clouds were just hanging there as if waiting for something. Then a gentle breeze stirred the palm tree over the way. Still I heard nothing. Then the breeze reached the trees nearby and I heard the rustling leaves, almost at once the dove sang her early morning song, followed by the pigeon, magpie and lorrikeets. My heart was at rest like a well loved child resting on the Beloved's breast. You are everywhere and in everything Beloved, my heart is at ease in You.

15.01.2022 Sometimes we may have an experience of the Divine, an enlightenment, and we think "Wow, that was wonderful". We hold it in our memory. What happened was that for the briefest of time a small window opened in our finite reality,and we had a peek into the Divine reality. This Divine reality is a continuum, we live, walk and breathe in this unseen Divine presence.

11.01.2022 The unconditional love that the Holy One has for us can be problematical for some people. As humans we are accustomed to the vagaries and conditions of human love, even the best of which contains condition or otherwise. the Divine Love is constant, unchanging, and unlike the human variety, cannot be manipulated. Divine Love is liberating, and when we give our "Yes" , when we accept and acknowledge that we are loved totally, unconditionally, changes happen. We will discover that we have a closeness to the Holy; creation takes on a new and different look. Indeed our whole life will alter; like being reborn to the wonder of God around us.

10.01.2022 The Book of Psalms provides us with an image of the human struggle to have a deep and meaningful relationship with the Holy One. In psalms 42 and 62 there is a deep longing to experience the Holy presence. When this happens the writer bursts into untold praise and exultation in psalms 95 and 97. Then comes the time when he is profoundly aware of his unworthiness. He places his face to the earth and in psalm 51 we have the great Miserere.There are some psalms which have always puzzled me. I tended to avoid them until recent enlightenment. The psalmist calls on God to "smite his enemies". However, to be smitten does not mean violence. It can mean that a person is so aware of, or overcome by the Divine Love that they change their ways.
