23.01.2022 Our band entertained us on parade this morning.



23.01.2022 This term the year three's have been reading the story 'Kumiko and the Dragon', which is a Japanese story about a girl overcoming her fear of the dark. The children wrote their own imaginative text about overcoming a fear and published their stories using book creator on the ipads.

22.01.2022 Junior Sports Day is underway.

19.01.2022 Last week our EALD 1 group, made, cooked and ate pikelets. In class, they wrote about what they were making. The students then discussed the steps on how to make them safely. They enjoyed the final step of eating them with jam and cream. Yum!

17.01.2022 Our Year 6 farewell evening will be live streamed tonight on our school Facebook page for those of you who can't make it. The stream will start from 7:00pm.

17.01.2022 The library is looking beautiful and all ready for book week which is the first week back in Term 4. Have a great time in the holidays getting those costumes ready! Our book week parade is on Friday 9 October. The theme is Curious creatures, wild minds. We can’t wait to see some amazing costumes

15.01.2022 Happy holidays everyone! It’s been a challenging year for many and we hope you enjoy a well deserved break. We’ll be back in a couple of weeks.

14.01.2022 This term in Prep we have been studying the weather. As our end of term surprise we made weather cookies. We decorated the cookies to show rain, lightning, snow, sun and a rainbow.

06.01.2022 The Toowoomba East Beginner Concert Band have been enjoying their rehearsals this term. They have been learning how to play together as a band, how to follow their conductor and how to listen to other instrument families. Thank you to all our Beginner Concert Band students for your dedication and enthusiasm.

05.01.2022 Our EALD 2 students have been learning their sight words.

05.01.2022 Take a look inside Prep D! The children have created sound crafts including 'ar' as in shark, 'i_e' as in ice cream, 'or' as in horse, 'oa' as in boat and 'o' as in orange. Other works of art include the lovely 'David' from the story, 'No David!', addition lady beetles and our 100 days of Prep paper chain.

04.01.2022 Year 6 have been celebrating a great achievement this week. Throughout the term there has been a fierce competition amongst the five classes to see which class could build the highest tower of books. The winning class was 6D reading in excess of 400 books. Altogether over the term, the year six students have read in excess of 1465 books. Those students who read 20 books or more during the term celebrated with a pizza party.
