This is called mutual obligation requirements. Some job seekers can meet their mutual obligation requirements by doing voluntary work with an approved organisation, such Toowoomba Little Athletics. Job seekers are responsible for finding voluntary work opportunities. Our club does accept referrals f...rom Centerlink. We have various volunteer roles on offer and we are approved for many positions. VOLUNTEER ROLES (some examples): 1. Setting up and packing up 2. Officiating during competition 3. Recording (timing gates) 4. Starter 5. Groundsmen / women 6. Multimedia (social media and website) 7. Grant writing 8. Canteen 9. 19.01.2022 VOLUNTEERS NEEDED! Are you free to help out in our canteen or know someone else who can? School athletics carnivals are a major fundraiser for our club each year. Our awesome Canteen Coordinators do an amazing job of catering for these events however we also need the help of a few rockstar volunteers. ... The first athletics carnival is coming up this week so if you have some time to spare (even just an hour or two), shoot us a DM . Current carnival dates booked: Friday 7 May Monday 31 May Tuesday 1 June Friday 16 July Monday 9 August Tuesday 10 August Wednesday 11 August Any help is much appreciated

16.01.2022 Some of our little athletes have been busy competing in the Queensland Athletic Association XC series. This afternoon Eden, Penny and Violet took out the gold medal in the State Cross Country Relay Championships in the 3 x 1km U8s relay. But not only did they win in the girls division, they also crossed the line in 1st place overall! U12 athlete Ruby Richardson also took out a gold medal in her 3 x 2km school team.... What an incredible race girls, you should be so very proud .

10.01.2022 DARLING DOWNS XC Congratulations to all our TLA athletes who competed at the Darling Downs Schools Cross Country Championships today, we know there were quite a few of you out there running . Here’s a couple of pics of some of our athletes. Big congratulations to Ruby, Xanthee, Xander, Cate, Delaney and Hayley who were selected for the DD team and will now compete at State Championships in July!... 06.01.2022 **IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT STATE RELAY TRAINING TOMORROW** DATE: Sunday 6th December 2020 TIME: 1:30pm to 2:30pm WHAT: Open training (shot put, discus and high jump) for those selected to go to states. No running.... Due to the extreme weather forecast tomorrow of 39 degrees (peak at 1:30pm), relay training will only be offered for field events. This training event is only open to those athletes who qualified for STATE RELAYS and will be available from 1:30pm - 2:30pm. This is a non-compulsory activity and is offered only in good faith that families and athletes can make the choice to come along to practice. There is no official coaching being offered with events just to be supervised for athlete safety by committee members. I hope you understand that this decision is being based on safety for athletes but still allows them an additional practice prior to States if so desired. Cheers, Renea Reich (Centre Manager)

Athletics carnivals are a major fundraiser for our club and help us to continue providing a quality athletics program for our little athletes.
