23.01.2022 Artist's impression of how the external areas will look after the major makeover funded, ever so generously, by Mr Clive Berghofer.
23.01.2022 Committee has embraced the Queensland Ag Shows' "Queensland Agricultural Shows and Showgrounds Industry COVIDSafe Plan" and all that goes with it to ensure that our patrons are safe at the Heritage Bank Toowoomba Royal Show 16-18 April 2021. Attendance will be restricted to 10,000 patrons on each of the three days so make sure you get in quick for your tickets once they go on sale.
23.01.2022 That's the climbing slope in place at the Toowoomba Showgrounds obstacle course, only 8 more to complete the circuit. Go and check it out.
23.01.2022 Have you ever seen a prettier sight, happy campers by the lake at Toowoomba Showgrounds? The site is looking a picture thanks to recent rain.
22.01.2022 Royal Agricultural Society of Queensland Chair Shane Charles chaired the committee's first meeting since -19 emerged and got straight into the business of planning for the Friday 16th to Sunday 18th April 2021 Heritage Bank Toowoomba Royal Show. Exciting times ahead.
22.01.2022 Heartfelt thanks to the Gambling Community Benefit Fund Queensland Queensland, Office of Liquor and Gaming Regulation and to Attorney-General the Hon Shannon Fentiman MP MP for our grant of $35,000 to construct a new 8-cubicle shower block at Toowoomba Showgrounds. This will make our venue even more attractive to caravanners and campers and make us less reliant on the Heritage Bank Toowoomba Royal Show which we lost in 2020 due to COVID-19. Fortunately this year's show was a great success.
22.01.2022 Who doesn't want a water view when holidaying? Campers at the Toowoomba Showgrounds love to park their vans by the lake and we're doing our level best to make the area as attractive as possible by planting the foreshores with irises and a variety of edge grasses to ward off weeds and assist in filtration. Now if we could get some rain..............
21.01.2022 We certainly appreciate the support we receive from our local elected members, their attendance at our events gives us an opportunity to update them on our funding challenges and aspirations for the showgrounds. At this week's Christmas lunch Member for Toowoomba South David Janetzki MP, seen here with Clive Berghofer AM and Treasurer Mark Freeman, and Federal Member for Groom Garth Hamilton MP, with President Shane Charles, attended and spent considerable time with Committee and invited guests.

20.01.2022 "Terrible terrain," that's how I'd describe it but it's the ideal dream for all you fitness fanatics! 10 impossible obstacles along a rugged 5 kilometre track. Want to have a look at it? Drop into the Toowoomba Showground on week days for a look see.
19.01.2022 Drop out to the Toowoomba Showgrounds to look at the last two windmill installations which bring the total to thirteen. The first is a 10ft "Alston" mill which was built on 1915 and the second is an 8ft, locally-made, "Southern Cross" which was built in 1912. It is indeed an amazing collection.
18.01.2022 The RASQ CEO Damon Phillips reckons he's fit but just wait until we make this obstacle course cargo net upright! Staff Ewan and Andrew are doing a fantastic job building these complex structures. Please do take the opportunity to visit the showgrounds to have a look see.

Timely because this Saturday, 5 September at the Toowoomba Showgrounds from 8.30am we have the Queensland Mounted Infantry Challenge involving ten teams replicating the field skills of the original Light Horsemen, including tent pegging, bayonets, swords, lances and rifles.
