23.01.2022 Happy Easter stamp collectors! Would you guess how many stamps are in each Easter egg? To win just like and follow this page, and guess the stamp numbers for egg 1, egg 2 and egg 3. The correct or closest guess to each egg will win the egg and the stamps in it!!!!! In cases there is a tie, the guess just above will win. ... It is a promise. I will mail the stamps to whoever wins to, any part of the world.

20.01.2022 Australian Philatelic Federation (www.apf.org.au) has a good page on "Using the Internet to widen your research boundaries". An added tool to help the enjoyment of this hobby of stamp collecting in the era of the covid-19. Take care and stay healthy.

17.01.2022 Our good friends from Spellman Museum of Stamps and Social History http://www.spellmanmuseum.org/, have been sharing their good articles and videos with Toowoomba Stamp Club. Their help is what we need and we appreciate their generosity. Here is access to their video: https://youtu.be/hhetooYMc9o

09.01.2022 Here at Down for the Count, we're missing performing live music for you.... so we decided we'd dust off the dinner jackets and ballgowns, pick up our instrument...s, and sing, play and dance from our living rooms, kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms and offices in tribute to our amazing NHS staff. If you enjoy watching the video, please consider showing your support to NHS staff (and other healthcare workers around the world), who are going to such efforts to keep us all safe, by clicking the button to DONATE to NHS Charities Together. You can also sign up to Down for the Count's Mailing List to find out when you can come and see us live: http://mailinglist.downforthecount.co.uk/ This video was recorded entirely at home in isolation by Down for the Count, The City String Ensemble and a few special guests! We suggest you watch it at least 3 times so you don't miss any of the best bits ;-) It's our version of "Let's Face the Music and Dance" (Irving Berlin), originally arranged for Nat 'King' Cole by Billy May. Our version has been transcribed and adapted by our musical director Mike Paul-Smith and the video was edited by Sophie Poteratchi.

02.01.2022 Photos of our last meeting in March. Good meeting with happy faces. We did not have as many due to the Corona virus. But we are all well and happy. I suggest we should use the social media more now as we should remain isolated. Let's offer and buy in this page to keep our collections going.
