25.01.2022 Managing covid19, fire, culture and the ecology in this part of the country-very challenging.

24.01.2022 So impressed with this action. Remote indigenous and at risk communities taking action into their own hands.

23.01.2022 Hi all, In these crazy times the tourism industry needs your support more than ever, thanks to Trip Advisor for their request for your support. Due to this virus thing we will not be departing on the 4th of May as previously planned. However we are unable to confirm any dates in the 2020 season for the time being. We will monitor the situation and respect the decision of the community to suspend tours until they are comfortable enough to resume. Our main concern is to keep o...ur friends at Gunbalanya such as Thommo safe and well. Regards TEDTs :) See more

23.01.2022 Im heading up to the top end tomorrow driving through the center with a few days in Alice Springs. Ill be taking some photos along the way and posting. Hopefully I can get out to Gunbalanya and say gday to these wonderful people some of which guide for us. The art work is so inspiring.

20.01.2022 Sitting out the back of Injalak Arts and watching Gabriel has always fascinated me. All of these artists have the steady hand of a surgeon, they never make a mistake and it always leaves you relaxed just watching them. Cant wait to be heading back next dry season.

19.01.2022 Hi all Meet Owen not only is he an artist he is also one of our fantastic Injalak Hill guides. You can meet him on our one day Injalak Hill Tour and hell interpret the rock art stories with you.

18.01.2022 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EQ1heeUxC6k Gday all We were excited to be heading out to West Arnhem Land on our first tour for the 2020 season this coming Monday. However Im sure youre all up with world events and in these times our main concern is the health and well being of the wonderful Gunbalanya community whose help we couldnt be without.... In light of the current social isolation requirements here is a short 2 minute clip of our one day Injalak Hill tour led by one of our passionate guides Gabriella for you to enjoy in the comfort of your own home. Stay safe and well, Top End Day Tours See more

18.01.2022 Meet one of the Cahills crossing locals. This river crossing is the entry point to Arnhem Land and is considered one of the most dangerous in Australia. You can see why!

18.01.2022 Check this out, replacing a uranium mine with tourism! Now that's a positive and more sustainable outcome for all! Jabiru is the closest major town to Arnhem Land, we depart ex Darwin and Jabiru 6 days per week during the dry season.

17.01.2022 Were all in the same boat and struggling with cancellations . This story reflects Top End Day Tours C19 experience as well. Looking to the 2021 season and re building our fantastic Arnhem Land experience. Weve got a great small team of guides ready and waiting to take you out.

17.01.2022 Gabriel does do some intricate and stunning work. This would have taken forever with all those fine lines.

17.01.2022 Hi everyone, have a look at the short clip below. We at Top End Day Tours like to think we are environmentally conscious. Along with a tour company that works closely with a remote indigenous community we also own The Wild Apple a certified organic apple and pear orchard in the Adelaide Hills, South Australia. We value add everything possible dried fruit and cider/vinegar, all in an effort to minimize food wastage. On our tours into West Arnhem Land we aim to be as environm...entally responsible as possible, assisting us on this quest is the carbon off-set benefits of our 3500 fruit trees. These fruit trees will not fully cover our fuel emissions but we are headed in the right direction. Over the recent lock down period with traffic on the roads we noticed the skies were bluer, the night sky was clearer and the air was just that little bit fresher. As we all return to our normal lives please consider the environment. We strive to cut out all single use products on our tours. Including spoons. Check out the film and give it a little thought. :)

15.01.2022 Meet one of the Cahills crossing locals. This tidal river crossing is considered one of the most dangerous in Australia and is our access point to Arnhem Land. Come with us well keep you safe!

14.01.2022 Love this campaign. Start booking now for 2021 to start the recovery. Youll never ever know if you never ever go!

14.01.2022 Ok so this might not be all that exciting to everyone, but to us it's everything! After not trading at all for the 2020 season (not even one day), have a look at this screen shot of our reservation software! We've had our first fully sold out day, the 8th of July 2021. Hopefully next year is the year of discovering Australia for Aussies. Book your flights to Darwin and give us a call, we'd be so excited to introduce you to our wonderful friends in Arnhem Land and fill another couple of days. XXXX

14.01.2022 Hi all, Take a few minutes to check this video out. This is so true for remote communities across Australia. The global shut down has also had a major impact on tour operators who take tourists out to these communities, who then in turn spend tourist dollars. Over 80% of Top End Day Tours clients are from overseas. Have you thought about holidaying at home, meeting these people, hearing their stories and showing your support directly? Book a tour with us and rub shoulders (social distancing of course) with the worlds oldest continuous culture and leave your passport at home?

13.01.2022 We would love to run our tours year round, however this is Cahills Crossing in the wet season! Lets hope the levels drop for our first tour on May 4th 2020.

13.01.2022 Hi guys Time to start looking to the future. You know youre going.to need a break mid next winter to warm up so have a look at this short clip for inspiration. If its Aboriginal culture and some of the best Rock Art in Australia that inspires you...thats what we do! Share this with anyone you know that might be interested.... Wed appriciate it. See more

12.01.2022 Hi all An historic image of Injalak Hill in the back ground, gives a great perspective of its size. This image was taken roughly where the Injalak Arts centre is now. They tell me there are some big crocs on that billabong these days.

11.01.2022 Boomerangs and Didgeridoos both Aussie icons should be Australian made.

11.01.2022 Hi all, I love these images so much. This is some of the Gunbalanya crew. This was the first time I had met any of these guys and we were about to head out to the amazing and spiritual Injalak Hill. For me it was my first time to the Hill, but to this Kunwinjku mob their ancestors had been going to this place for tens of thousands of years and they were so keen to share it with me. I was sooo excited. We were heading out to do a little maintenance and prepare the Hill for ...the first tour of the 2019 season the following day. Branches and spear grass need to be cleared, the traditional way of course with fire. An amazing day out that ill never forget! See more

09.01.2022 Yet another historical image with Injalak Hill in the background. Amazing to see that just over 100years ago and just prior to world war one these amazing people were living a traditional life style. Many of these traditions are still being practised today! Thats the beauty of Arnhem Land. Love it.

08.01.2022 This is the art of the nation

05.01.2022 A few familiar faces in this mob. Looking forward to taking people out to meet this lovely group when the borders open up. For the un-initiated thats Injalak Hill in the back ground, a very special place.

05.01.2022 Maybe hes in self isolation after border hopping on his way to Arnhem Land....Gotta wonder?

05.01.2022 If youve got the time to tune in these guys are not only fantastic artists and great tour guides but they are naturally talented musicians.

04.01.2022 Fantastic cultural experiences on offer in the Territory.

04.01.2022 What a fantastic read. Take five minutes for yourself grab a cuppa, sit down and check this article out. It will be 5 minutes well spent.

04.01.2022 Getting back to normal. No Kakadu or Arnhem Land and the borders are a little way off but headed in the right direction.

03.01.2022 Wow, what a great thing in these times. Bed time stories as told by indigenous Australians.

03.01.2022 Not sure what this means for small operators like us but its looking hopeful for the Top End. We might get touring in 2020 yet!

03.01.2022 Just love these stunning Marebu. Watching these ladies working on them at the arts centre with such nimble fingers and vibrant colours. They look great hanging on a wall.

02.01.2022 Check this out, maybe in 2021 Top End Day Tours could run a one off Top End aboriginal art tour. What do you think?

02.01.2022 Here's an idea for all who are in lock down or those that are after a challenge, 3 to 4 hours per week and the opportunity to learn a new language! A local indigenous one at that! Gammak to you all friends!

02.01.2022 One of my favourite things to do on our tours is to sit with the artists at Injalak Arts and watch them paint. The detail in X-ray style art work is so fine, their hands are as steady as a surgeons. Fantastic work Gabriel.

01.01.2022 Stunning, Stunning, Stunning!

01.01.2022 When you take the time to sit beside an indiginious artist and watch them create dot paintings and draw lines with the patience and steady hand of a surgeon. You get a whole new perspective and respect, these beautiful art works take days. They deserve the same prtections and achknolodgement afforded to all artists.
