20.01.2022 A WATCH and ACT has been issued for Broadmeadows, Campbellfield, Coburg, Coburg North, Coolaroo, Dallas, Fawkner, Glenroy, Hadfield, Jacana, Meadow Heights, Oak Park, Pascoe Vale, Pascoe Vale South, Roxburgh Park, Somerton, Strathmore, Westmeadows due to a fire at MAFFRA ST, COOLAROO. This warning replaces the advice issued at 9:13 am. The smoke plume has extended further South. Anyone located in affected areas should take shelter indoors immediately. Close all exterior doors..., windows and vents and ensure that heating and cooling systems are turned off. What you should do: The Recycling Center and Maffra St is currently closed and people are advised to avoid the area. Keep the roads clear so emergency services can respond.
