06.01.2022 The longer I do this gig, and looking at the messages that come through, the more convinced I am that people don't want to hear new music. They'd rather hear the same old stuff they've heard 40,000 times. I'm going to make 20 years in November & I'd be stupid not too. I'm not blowing my own trumpet, but I firmly believe the music is generally so bloody good I would've expected to have built more of an audience & following. I will never do it, it's not my modus operandi, but if I played well known popular songs I reckon I'd have more listeners. The chances of that are nil as I subscribe to my ethos that this is the best music on the planet. If you find a brick wall anywhere with blood on it, it's from my forehead.
