We are looking for net bowlers and occasionally batters to challenge our Top Edges in game sense situations. We would love to have a pool of interested people to draw from when our coaches are after a game sense session.... 16.01.2022 Welcome to the Top Edge team, Dharmini Chauhan! Dharmini is an Illawarra junior having played her junior cricket at Wollongong District Cricket Club. Dharmini has had a world of success on the cricket field having represented her zone, her state and her country, and she’s not even 20 yet! Dharmini’s achievements list is well too long to list here. But some highlights include her selection in the Australian Female Indigenous XI, playing in the Cricket Australia XI at the U18...s Nationals and multiple years of U15s/U18s Nationals representing NSW. Dharmini is a strong technical coach, has a very calm approach to her coaching and is a great communicator. She shares our Top Edge beliefs, striving to help players reach their potential and supporting them on their journey. Dharmini has particular interest in mentoring our regions up and coming female cricketers on their cricketing journey. We can’t wait to see the impact that Dharmini is going to have, we’re stoked to have her on the team.

05.01.2022 SQUARING UP Squaring up means we are facing the bowler front on as we play a shot. This can be a problem for balls on or outside off stump as it encourages the bat path to go towards the leg side and brings into play a range of dismissals. If you struggle with this issue, getting strong on the back foot punch, with a focus of staying as side on as possible can really help. It teaches our hips to stay more aligned (side on) and therefore our shoulders, arms and ultimately bat... should come through straighter. @carloteodorowych is currently growing a dirty mullet to raise money and awareness for mental health.
