17.01.2022 Tonight I was honoured with the MotorSports Volunteer of the Year Award from Top End Dirt Karts. To say I am humbled is an understatement. Firstly I would like ...to thank my partner and fiancee Deborah Townsend for her support. I would also like to thank the other Officials who turn up each meeting. You are each deserving of this recognition. Thank you to the committee and the club for the opportunity to be there as you started and grow into an even more fantastic club.

12.01.2022 Well what a great end to our season - who would have thought that a year of turmoil our clubs 2nd season we would have overcome all obstacles and got nine rounds in , a top of the territory event in and a trip to Alice for the Brk 2 day challenge between Alice and Darwin - thought our last meet was going to be cut short but a quick grader drive brought the track back and we managed to complete 4 heats - I want to thank all the volunteers that make this happen standing in the heat and rain sometimes is an awesome thing you all do for these drivers - here’s a pic of the midgets ready to go out - this is what keeps us all motivated or maybe it just might be the sheep stations we all win at the end of season

10.01.2022 Thankyou to Motorsports NT - We have been able to remove the old gates to help with security of the track - Instead of replacing the fencing we have put our Club name up which is very exciting and now also have space to advertise our sponsers - Thankyou once again to Motorsports NT - it is so exciting seeing the ongoing progress at the Track.

03.01.2022 New log books have arrived - we are yellow this year - It will soon be time to race again
02.01.2022 Thankyou to those that turned up for our working bee last night - its much appreciated - Michael and Caleb were on the machines trying to save our track with this wet season on us it is definitely a challenge . We prepared our drainage system , took the chain mesh down ready for our control tower to come in, emptied our bottles , and did a general clean up of area ready for cyclone season. They did get very wet in the end - cant say we dont have some committed members
02.01.2022 May I ask our Karting family from around Australia - if you are coming to NT Titles how many are planning to head to TEDK for our double header the weekend after - if I could get an idea this would be great - nominations will be open next week
02.01.2022 Urgent Shout Out to our Motorsport Club members, Major Events are requesting our urgent assistance in sourcing around 60 motorsport enthusiasts to assist / volu...nteer over the V8 Supercar / Superbike / Nitro Up North event on the 18th - 20th June, 2021 Volunteers are needed to assist with placing and removing the TERRA air fence protection system located in the safety run off areas around the Hidden Valley Circuit between the Supercar and Superbike events (potentially 2- 3 times per day). The air bags are not heavy but a little bulky. If you are able to volunteer to assist, you get a free pass for the whole weekend to the event (including the concert) and your club will be financially rewarded. If you can assist, please urgently contact your club President to confirm your attendance and each club will organise to pass on your details to NTMEC and your pass to the event.
