24.01.2022 Update for next weekend's Litchfield event: the Ed Centre is now filled up, we have reached 40 people booked in for camping - but plenty of additional spaces still available for coaching on Saturday and orienteering on Sunday. Thanks to everyone who has registered and advised me which course they want for Sunday. MapRunF has been tested and operates well across the map. Expect some long grass but mostly it is lightweight long grass, not too thick.

24.01.2022 Lots of new people at the last event, sorry I could not read a number of the email addresses given, if you have not received an e-mail from me today please send me a message with your correct address if you would like to be added to our mailing list for upcoming event information and newsletters. These are also available on the TEO websit

22.01.2022 We're heading back to the Howard Springs Pine Forest for this Sunday's event, but leave the bike at home - this time we are going on our feet. And it's a score event. Choose from one of three time limit options: 45 minutes, 60 minutes or 90 minutes. 23 checkpoints are on offer, with differing point values. Choose your route to get the most points you can, within your time limit. Points penalty applies if returning late. Thanks to Deb and David for putting this event on.

22.01.2022 Reminder and Update about Event this Sunday Morning The start/finish will be at carpark 5B at the back of the Royal Darwin Hospital Campus. See the map See you then

12.01.2022 Just a reminder, orienteering this Sunday at the Darwin Botanic Gardens Open Day. Start anytime between 10am and 3pm, options to find 7, 11 or 14 controls on a scatter course around gardens. Plenty of shady route choices on offer. Don't forget a water bottle. For details see: www.teo.asn.au.

11.01.2022 Congrats to Alana, Emma, Adam and Lachlan, who were the course winners for Easy, Moderate, Short Hard and Long Hard at Litchfield on June 28th. See pics for their routes. Well done guys!

09.01.2022 Love orienteering? Well maybe you can help us! Right now, we need some fresh hands to come forward and hold some of the tasks that need doing, to keep the Top End Orienteers club operating and continuing to provide enjoyable and affordable orienteering for the general public. The club AGM is this coming Sunday, 10am, Eva's Cafe in the George Brown Botanic Gardens. Please consider coming and offering to take a role. We know our president and publicity officer are standing down. We also need roles like bbq/drinks, newsletter and fundraising filled, and we need fresh faces to join the committee to help support the administration and decision making side of things. You don't have to be a super experienced orienteer, you just need to be keen to contribute your time to help keep orienteering thriving in Darwin. Thanks!

03.01.2022 Hi folks, we are having a push to get all results from recent months up on the web this week. If you have received an email about any results that we can't find for you in the MapRunF app, here are instructions on how to get your result added manually: Go into your map/course screen in the app and: 1. Click on the menu button (the three short lines in the top right corner)... 2. Select Upload (Manual) 3. Your phone will upload your gps track (this might take a few minutes) 4. Your phone should say Upload Successful when complete Thanks for your help!

02.01.2022 Here is the course info for Sunday's Mountain Bike orienteering at Howard Springs. Note - we have added in a 10km option (named 'Medium') so there are now 4 courses to choose from. Also, for anyone doing the 'Really Long' (22km) course, please aim to start by 8am as it does take a while. Our pre-riders tested it last weekend at a leisurely pace and were riding for over 3 hours. Here is also a snapshot of the map, around the start location.

01.01.2022 UPDATE - FREE Bacon and Eggs, Burgers and Veggy Burgers - NEXT Sunday at Litchfield National Park Event. Don't forget to register - [email protected]
