24.01.2022 Don't you just love 2 for 1 activities? We sure do - so this card/ornament combo was a perfect choice for this week’s #topteacherfreebie The best part is, it’s not just a card but also a stained glass Christmas decoration! A beautiful keepsake to hang on the tree for years to come! This bauble version is this week’s freebie but we also have a Christmas tree and star template available for members too!

22.01.2022 We saw this super fun activity from @dwarkaspecialschool using different lines drawn on paper and milk lid counters - and we absolutely loved it! My boys are totally into everything cars so we thought we would add this twist! We used some road tape to create different tracks and used matchbox cars to drive along the tracks. Perfect to get both sides of the body moving and practising bilateral coordination, which is important for many gross and fine motor skills!

20.01.2022 We have found a fun little way to help our kids follow lines and cut with their scissors. We have added a little laminated frog to our scissors so students can point the frog in the direction they need to cut and make it all the way to the lily pad! (yep we know our frog is facing the wrong way - we have flipped it for you guys though!) These new cutting sheets are perfect for practising turning the page when cutting rather than turning the scissors! And we ha...ve a little printable character to match each sheet if you would like to attach them to you scissors to! 20.01.2022 On Saturday we shot the new decor packs in action with @sociallaura_ It takes us a little while to find our groove and then we are always rushing like mad woman at the end! Thanks Laura for putting up with the craziness that comes with TT - our awkwardness, kids, husbands, CoC’s It’s always a laugh!

19.01.2022 How sweet is this Ice Cream Parlour set up?! : @theprepteacher We are always so blown away by the way our Top Teacher Team use the printable play packs and make them come alive in your classrooms! We then imagine all the wonderful learning through play that happens the oral language skills... the literacy skills the maths skills the social skills.. and it just makes our play based loving hearts *so damn* happy! 18.01.2022 FREEBIE ALERT The amazing symbols from @nardurna are too good and everyone needs to have them in their classroom. This Symbol Search play tray is this week's freebie and you get the play tray card, the 'Pathway to Learning' symbol find and search sheet and the symbol recording sheet! We set ours up in a tray with red sand and made this super cute rosemary brush to use to find the symbols!... This resource contains an exclusive artwork created by contemporary Aboriginal Artist Ryhia Dank, a Gudanji/Wakaja woman from the Barkly Tablelands titled ‘The Path to Learning’. Did you know we also have a new feature on the webby called IN ACTION Under each resource on the website there is now a section for you to upload your photos of that resource in action! 07.01.2022 We are so lucky to still be working with the ever so talented Ryhia from @nardurna She created a gorgeous set of a-z images for us to use on a whole range of new resources. When we started working with Ryhia one of the first things on our list was to replace our symbol cards with authentic images. Again we could not be happier with what Ryhia did for us! These new Aboriginal Symbol Alphabet Posters are now on the webby and come in both colour, and black and white in... two different designs (we think printed onto coloured paper would also look so fab!) We have added 12 resources that feature new artwork from Ryhia. The colours and patterns in them are just amazing. The name tags are the cutest especially if your school does NAIDOC Week rotations (or really just for any use as they are just divine!) As we did last year in November during NAIDOC Week, we will be donating 10% of our sales to Indigenous Literacy Foundation in July https://www.topteacher.com.au/?s=Aboriginal

From beginning simple strategies such as counting on then moving on to jump strategy and front end addition. 03.01.2022 Anything with mini pegs is always a winner right?! We are finishing off our Fine Motor July with this simple but so much fun activity! Those mini wooden clothes line are amazing, but if you don’t have one - never fear! We saw this awesome and easy idea from @cintaandco It’s just some cardboard and some string to create your own mini clothes line! Perfect to hang out our new numbered shirts and clothes resource too

02.01.2022 There is just something so satisfying about fresh 'unsquished' playdough! Playdough is also one of our favourites for fine motor play! You can mix it up with so many different scents, colours and textures. It was always the go to table in our classrooms!
