16.01.2022 In today’s SMH Good Food section our ever-supportive mate @askthebutcher opens up the conversation about veal. We are proud to have collaborated with him on the creation of what we think is the best way to get people to re-asses this under-utilised protein - a premium, delicious and tender new meat offering - Torello Rose Veal. Educating people about what we have created and why is both rewarding and challenging. It is time to re-assess Veal, so next time you are eating out - ask for it!

11.01.2022 Sometimes the best way to encourage people to try something new is to make it familiar. Our Rose Veal comes from an older animal than traditional veal, that’s part of the reason that it has a richer colour and flavour. It also means that it’s butchered into familiar beef cuts so it’s suitable for both veal and beef recipes. The tender, delicate texture and flavour of a Torello rump or T-bone from the grill will knock your socks off! It’s new and different, yet familiar! Isn’t it time you re-assessed veal?

07.01.2022 What an amazing delivery of an amazing menu last night. Thanks @richardpurdue and our hosts @chefneilperry, @askthebutcher_ and the team at @rosettaristorante. The development of this product has been a labour of love for some 4 years and when we have the opportunity to enjoy such a beautiful presentation of our rose veal that really showcases its versatility an it’s unique flavour and texture it really helps to make it all worthwhile. Add to that the wonderful feedback of other diners who really embraced both what they ate, and the story behind, it is really heartening. It’s another step towards engaging people in the conversation around veal and why our high welfare and delicious product could be the start of a small meat revolution! Thanks to all involved.

As part of their 3 course ‘waste-free’ menu Mike and Jeffrey are using our Torello Rose Veal for their tasty stock. Veal has traditionally been an under-utilized resource from the dairy industry so creating a premium product from these calves is certainly a good step towards appreciating their true value.
