23.01.2022 Today our Kinder 2 classroom had a very special visitor. Mrs. Dean from Grovedale Primary School came to spend some time with our kinder children as they prepare for their big school adventures next year. Over the coming month we are very lucky to have many of the prep teachers from the various local schools that our children will be transitioning to, coming along to meet the children and answer any questions they might have. These visits will help prepare our children for their new adventures next year, by assisting them to feel connected to their new learning communities for 2021.

11.01.2022 Were extending our care to siblings of children enrolled at our service during this difficult time. Vacation care will be open to primary school aged siblings under 13, as a small way to help our educators and our families, allowing you to work, look for work and manage your lives. Fees will be set at only $80 for a 10-hour session, with no late fees if 30 minutes early or late on drop off or pickup.... Limited places available, to register please contact your Service Manager.

09.01.2022 Today at Nido Early School Grovedale we launched an exciting new initiative at the service called "Read and Return". What is Read and Return? Our Read and Return Library has been sponsored by the not for profit charity Reading Out of Poverty, who have helped up set up a beautiful centre based library where our families can come along and select a book and sign it out just like you would any other regular library. When you return your book, you can choose a new one to sign out... and enjoy the fun over and over again. Reading Out of Poverty have kindly provided us with an amazing selection of books along with 150 library bags each with their own height chart and a special book to keep for our children to enjoy. Our Read and Return library is set up in our Piazza and is there for all of our families and children to access whenever they would love to borrow a book to read and share at home. Next time you are in the service make sure you stop by and visit our library to pick up your very own library bag and choose your very first book. We would love it if our families could share some photos with us via email of your little ones enjoying their books so we can add the photos to our display in the Piazza. A friendly face who greets us each morning and is ALWAYS pleased to see you. This Friday we will be celebrating World Turtle Day - we cant wait to celebrate our amazing friend and explore amazing facts about Murray and his family :)

02.01.2022 How beautiful was the weather today?! Our children embraced the Spring sunshine today, making the most of the warm weather by engaging in lots of water play! Water play is a fun open ended experience that provides countless opportunities for children to be active participants in their own learning. Some of the benefits of water play are:... - helps to refine fine and gross motor development - provides opportunities for problem solving - encourages verbal and non-verbal communication - allows children to explore mathematical and scientific concepts, all while being beneficial for social and emotional development. Lets hope this warm weather sticks around a bit longer!
