10.01.2022 It's almost time Tigers... Season launch info to come How good is cricket?

09.01.2022 This weekend’s Senior Cricket Wrap Up A challenging weekend for the Tigers, we’ve come a long way already, but still more work to do. The 1s, 2s & 3s all took on Bell Post Hill... The 1st XI played at home this week. Bell Post Hill went in to bat first and made a solid total of 8/240 in their overs. We put up a solid fight of 7/151, but unfortunately lost by 89 runs. Impressive performance by Tommy Henderson with 43 runs and James Fisher with 5/37 off his 10 overs. The 2nd XI played away this week and had a challenging day making 95 in their batting innings, with Bell Post Hill returning fire making 7/98 in their innings. Special mentions to Tyler Emmerson for his 50 runs and Matt Grossman with 4/28 off 8.2 overs. The 3rd XI took to the field first in their game, holding Bell Post Hill to 9/162 in their innings. Our boys were all out for 119 in our batting innings, making it a loss by 43 runs. Tom Grossman put up a solid fight with his 46 runs, while Harry Dunn impressed with his 3/27 off 9 overs. The 4th XI took on St Albans Breakwater in their round 3 home game, making 5/105 in their 40 overs. St Albans Breakwater managed a 7 wicket win with their 3/109 in 30 overs. Special mention to Rhys Ingwersen for his 50 runs. The 5th XI had another win over Surf Coast Gold in their round 3 home game making 126 runs, before bowling out the Surf Coast for 101 in the 37th over. Impressive performances by Tim Mawdsley with 4/14 & 35*, Percy Coles with 3/15 & Mick Armstrong with 2/15 & 32 runs. Torquay Black also had a win over Collendina in a very entertaining Sunday afternoon at the Quay. We lost the toss and were sent in to bat, making 6/146 in our 20 overs, before keeping Collendina to 4/133 in a very exciting end to the match. Special mentions to Hayley Pocklington for an aggressive 42 run opening partnership with April Williams, Isabella Dunne for her impressive 2/7, Sarah Boak with 2/12. Torquay Gold travelled down Geelong Road to Grovedale for their Sunday match and made 4/72 in their batting innings. Grovedale proved to be the stronger team on the day defending the total in the 14th over. Special mention to Danielle Johnson with another 24*. Let’s dust ourselves off and bring out another strong 1st, 2nd & 3rd XI performance next weekend against Modewarre. How good is cricket.
