22.01.2022 Wilderness is not a luxury but a necessity of the human spirit, and as vital to our lives as water and good bread. Edward Abbey in his book, Desert Solitaire. These strange times have brought to the surface our complex relationship with the natural world, hopefully allowing us to fully appreciate how lucky we are in our region to have access to such amazing natural resources, and reinforcing a healthy respect for our natural environments and the creatures that inhabit them. Check out our catalogue for some amazing titles around the natural world and our place in it: https://catalogue.grlc.vic.gov.au/ecollections

20.01.2022 Sydney Morning Herald journalist and acclaimed writer Malcolm Knox has written a stunning new novel about longing, regret, redemption and the terrible legacy of decades of secrets buried in an Australian beachside suburb. Were proud to host Malcolm in conversation online with author Charlotte Wood on Wednesday 30 September at 7.30pm - register here: http://ow.ly/J5s850B30BB Bluebird can be found in our collection or purchased online from Allen & Unwin Books here: http://ow.ly/w62F50B30BC
