20.01.2022 Always happy to treat this special girl - Katie . Katie gets sore in her neck and back. She is being well managed with acupuncture and muscle therapy every 4-6 weeks along with moxa treatment and massage at home by her owner. She was back out racing around the yard again with more energy after her treatment, such a happy girl, which was wonderful to see. Great to be able to help Katie feel good again!

19.01.2022 Feeling great after an acupuncture and Emmett therapy treatment. Hard to guess Roxie is over 15 years old! Roxie was struggling to get out of bed and wanted to be carried everywhere, but straight after her treatment today, she was feeling much better. So good to be able to help our precious family members.

18.01.2022 Acupuncture for canine cognitive dysfunction - doggy dementia and pain relief. Some of my older patients that I got to spend time with today - Seamus and Lila-Lou. Acupuncture can help manage signs of canine cognitive dysfunction such as waking at night, unsettled, staring into space, getting stuck in corners and increasing anxiety. In the same treatment, I can also address pain and muscle soreness and weakness associated with osteoarthritis. The great thing is that acupuncture can be used in combination with medication. I love being able to help our older beloved pets maintain their quality of life! #torquayanimalhousevets #torquayanimalhouse #torquayvets #vetacupuncture #caninedementia #caninecognitivedysfunction #emmett4animals #dogmuscletherapy #dogphysiotherapy #dogmassage #dogphysio #dogarthritis

18.01.2022 Treating trigger points. Bailey is only 17 months old and was skipping on a hind leg when running. Xrays showed no bone abnormalities, which made us suspicious that some muscle trigger points may be causing the gait change. We found multiple muscle trigger points, especially in the hamstrings. To relieve the trigger points Bailey was treated with a combination of needle acupuncture, laser acupuncture and laser therapy, TENS machine with stretching and massage and Emmett thera...py. We also discussed exercise management and home care to help in his rehabilitation. He has just had his second treatment and the skipping has now nearly stopped and he now allows his owner to massage his hamstring area. #vetacupuncture #torquayanimalhouse #torquayvets #torquayanimalhousevets #dogmuscles #dogmuscletherapy #dogrehabilitation #dogmassagetherapy #dogmassage #dogphysiotherapy #dogphysio #animalrehabilitation #animalrehab #groodle See more

17.01.2022 It was wonderful to see Fred doing so well today. 3 weeks after presenting unable to walk and after only 2 treatments, he continues to improve daily. #torquayvet #torquayanimalhousevets #torquayanimalhouse #vetacupuncture #caninerehab #caninespinalinjury #caninecruciateligament #caninehipdysplasia #dogmuscletherapy #doghipdysplasia #dogrehabilitation #emmett4dogs #emmett4animals @ Torquay Animal House

16.01.2022 Your dog should sit straight with both knees/stifles bent and hindlegs sitting under them. If your dog sits to one side, or one hindleg straight out or off to one side, it can be an indication of pain and often stifle or hip disease. This sweet girl has had cruciate surgery done in both knees within a couple of weeks of each other. Great to see her recovering well and returning to normal function with the help of veterinary Acupuncture, laser therapy, Emmett therapy and a targeted rehabilitation program which her owners are doing a great job with!

14.01.2022 Acupuncture, laser, Emmett muscular therapy and massage to help in recovery from surgery. Bruno has been coming into #torquayanimalhouse for his weekly cartrophen injections and acupuncture/muscle therapy treatments after patella surgery with Dr Mark. Great to be part of a wonderful team and help assist in the recovery and rehabilitation of your pets to achieve the best results. Bruno is now 4 weeks post surgery and continues with his tailored rehabilitation program. He now ...walks with no limping or skipping and continues to increase muscle mass. A personalised rehabilitation program and acupuncture and muscle therapy help improve muscle mass and regain optimal performance and function post surgery or injury.#caninerehab #caninerehabilitation #vetacupuncture #dogrehab #dogpatella #dogphysio #dogmuscletherapy #dogmassage #emmett4dogs #emmett4animals #dogorthopedics #caninecruciateligament #caninespinalinjury #caninecruciatesurgery #dogcruciate #dogluxatingpatella @ Torquay Animal House See more

12.01.2022 Feeling better after a treatment! Acupuncture helps with nerve regeneration, pain relief and inflammation. This handsome boy suddenly struggled to walk one morning and was collapsing on his front legs. A cervical neck lesion was suspected and medical management started by his referring vet. Acupuncture, Emmett therapy and laser assist and help accelerate recovery in these spinal cases or post spinal surgery. This body harness is helping the owners to give him support when taking out to toilet. #dogspinalcordinjury #surfcoastvets #surfcoast #dogcervicalspinalcordinjury #dogmuscletherapy #dogmassage #vetacupuncture #torquayanimalhousevets #goldenplainsvet #dogrehabilitation #dogphysiotherapy #emmett4dogs #emmett4animals #caninespinalinjury #canineintervertebraldiscdisease #dogdegenerativemyelopathy @ Torquay Animal House

12.01.2022 Veterinary acupuncture is not just needles. Moxa helps our older pets suffering from arthritis and soreness which gets worse with cold weather. Moxa is also something I can show owners to treat their pets at home, helping your pets stay comfortable. #moxa #vetacupuncture #animalrehabilitation #animalarthritistreatments #arthritis #torquayanimalhousevets #torquayvet #petarthritis #dogmuscletherapy #dogphysio #catarthritis #doghipdysplasia

11.01.2022 Thanks nurse Amanda for helping Lou with her first acupuncture treatment. Lou was starting to slow down and lose control of her back legs at times. She had a combination of acupuncture, laser and Emmett therapy. She enjoyed some liver treats and had a good shake at the end of treatment. Looking forward to seeing Lou again next week, she is a real sweetie. @ Torquay Animal House

10.01.2022 Psoas release. During recovery from stifle and patella surgery, it is common to have trigger points and knots causing pain and restriction of the psoas muscle. If these trigger points aren't treated, lameness can persist even with surgery and they can interfere with rebuilding the muscle mass. Trigger points can be relieved through a combination of acupuncture, laser therapy, Emmett therapy, TENS machine, massage and stretching. Treatment is tailored to the individual patient. #torquayanimalhousevets #torquayvet #psoasrelease #emmett4dogs #emmett4animals #dogmuscletherapy #dogmassage #activedog #dogpatella #dogphysiotherapy #dogluxatingpatella #dogrehabilitation #dogcruciate #doghipdysplasia #dogpatellasurgery @ Torquay Animal House

09.01.2022 Feeling a lot better after a treatment @torquay_animal_house. This happy boy has been having some weekly treatment sessions to help in the ongoing management of his arthritis from hip displasia. After 3 weekly treatments and some exercise modification and home massage he has been able to reduce the dose of anti - inflammatory required. We can now work on some exercises to help strengthen his muscles giving him ongoing support and long term quality of life. His regular vet continues to be updated on his treatment, communication with my patient's regular vet is most important to me.#dogmuscletherapy #vetacupuncture #dogmassage #doghipdysplasia #torquayvet #torquayanimalhousevets #geelongvet #surfcoastvets #dogphysiotherapy #dogphysio #dogarthritis #emmett4dogs #emmett4animals @ Torquay Animal House

06.01.2022 Look how straight I am sitting after patella surgery @torquay_animal_house with Dr Mark, then some acupuncture, muscle therapy, laser and massage along with a personalised rehabilitation program with me. Great combination of treatments to achieve the best possible result for this gorgeous, happy boy. His anxiety at home has also improved with veterinary acupuncture therapy. The effects of acupuncture on mind and emotions are an extra added benefit for my patient's and their owners. @ Torquay Animal House

06.01.2022 Acupuncture for gastrointestinal disease. This gorgeous boy had some vomitting and diarrhoea with suspected food intolerances and sensitivities. He had been on Royal Canin Hypoallergenic prescription diet and doing well, but possibly got into some other food! He started to feel better after some treatment @torquay_animal_house, but was still not quite right. So we added in some acupuncture to his treatment which helped him to return to his normal, happy self. Acupuncture can aid in the long term management of inflammatory bowel disease, food intolerances/sensitivities and other gastrointestinal diseases. #vetacupuncture #dogastrology #inflammatoryboweldisease #torquayanimalhousevets #torquayvet #surfcoastvets #dogibd #dogibddiet #cavoodle #cavoodleaustralia #dogcolitis @ Torquay Animal House

04.01.2022 Eddie the miracle dog has a big fan in nurse Amanda. Loving his treatment and lots of attention, pats and cuddles @torquay_animal_house. Even though we can't have our owners in the clinic at the moment, your pets are given lots of cuddles and pats and treats of course! #torquayanimalhousevets #torquayvet #torquayanimalhouse #vetacupuncture #dogmassage #dogphysiotherapy #dogspinalcordinjury #surfcoastvets #surfcoast #laser #doglasertherapy #dogphysio #doghydrotherapy #dogrehabilitation #dogrehab

01.01.2022 It is with great sadness that my family and I had to say goodbye to our beloved Hungarian Vizsla yesterday. It was 13 years to the day that we brought him home and into our family. Thanks to all the team @torquay_animal_house for your love and support during this difficult time To our 'Doggle', as he was affectionately called at home - thanks for all the life lessons and for your constant love and trust. We will miss our beach walks together with you trotting elegantly through the rock pools looking for fish, doing your own hydrotherapy. The house feels so empty without your presence. It's going to take time for us all to adjust...... So many tears shed, but happy that you didn't have to suffer any more and so grateful for all the time we had with you. You will be with us all forever in our hearts. Rest in peace.... @ Torquay, Victoria
