06.01.2022 To our valued clients during the COVID19 pandemic. We are in an uncertain and rapidly changing situation. We at Torrens Road Veterinary Clinic want you to know that we are doing our bit to protect you and our staff while continuing to provide high standard of care for your pets . ... Of course, as a veterinary clinic, we already have high standards of disinfection and disease control but we have further increased this level by introducing some newer protocols. Newer protocols include: - Hand sanitiser at front desk for clients on arrival and departure - Increased cleaning with disinfectants effective against viruses, including frequent cleaning of ‘common areas’- doorknobs, front counter, waiting room, consulting rooms (also cleaned after each client), light switches etc - A ‘deep clean’ of common areas last thing at night with disinfectants left working overnight. We ask you, for the sake of your own health, ours, and society at large, to please inform us before booking an appointment if you have any signs of fever, cough, or if you are in quarantine or isolation. Call us and we can discuss ways of having your pet seen by one of our veterinarians while minimizing risk to staff and clients alike. We ask all clients to reduce numbers in our waiting and consult rooms by having 1 person per pet if possible. You can also wait outside in our grassed yard, or in your car depending on the weather while waiting to be seen. Try to maintain a 1.5 metre ‘social distance’ wherever possible (we have tape at the front counter to remind you) Please maintain normal sneeze and cough hygiene. Pet food and medication We are seeing increased purchase rate of prescription diets and long-term medications. If you are requiring any food or medications please phone to check that we have what you require on hand, and we can put some aside for you, or add to our next stock order. Things are changing daily, and it is possible that we may even be consulting in the open air with gloves and masks in the future. We keep updated with all the latest information and requirements from the Australian Veterinary Association and the Veterinary Surgeons Board of South Australia. This is a stressful time for everyone. We hope this information makes things clearer. Please phone with any concerns. Dr Jenny Weston and the team

04.01.2022 An update for our valued clients during COVID-19 Pandemic At last we can report that the government has deemed veterinary clinic's as essential services! This means that we WILL be open, although in a limited capacity.... During this difficult and uncertain time, Torrens Road Vet Clinic are taking steps to protect our patients, their owners and our staff by implementing strict social distancing protocols in our clinic while we continue to operate. For the next month, we ask that all non-essential visits, including routine vaccinations (puppy/kitten vaccines exempted) are delayed until we are safely able to operate as usual. We are asking clients to avoid entering the clinic. Our staff will bring your pet into our treatment area for consultations. We are also adjusting our trading ours to better fit with the current restrictions and will be closing at 6pm every weekday. We are also recommending clients with animals on prescription drugs or foods to order extra during this period, to avoid interruptions to medication and to limit unnecessary visits. We have also arranged a home delivery service for these items for clients who are at risk or in self-isolation. This is a rapidly evolving situation and we will be paying close attention to advice from government and health care bodies. We will be re-assessing the situation after this initial month and making changes to our protocol as necessary. We will be sending out further notifications as changes are made. Please contact the clinic if you have any questions or concerns regarding these changes. We are dealing with an influx of phone calls and would appreciate your patience. Thank you for your support during this time as we do our best to continue to treat and care for your pets.
