18.01.2022 Old stories: When I was a kid, Mum would never let me have a Guns ‘N’ Roses album (because the language was disgusting!). I had to go to a friends house to listen to them (until he made me my own secret tape to listen to on my Walkman ). I never bought my own. But this weekend, thanks to ALDI & some nagging from the 13y/o, I finally got my OWN record to play any time I like. Because I can listen to any sweary shit that I want. ... Because I’m an adult & I get to choose my own story. Not even sorry, Mum. I sure showed her, hey?!..... *cough* .........thirty years later. This one was pretty stupid & fairly inconsequential but have you ever thought about the stories you were given as a kid? Are they working for you?
