19.01.2022 People hassle me all the time for the amount of salt I put on my food, hey. I keep it in the car now for when they don’t put enough damn salt on my hot chips emergencies. 07.01.2022 So when I said I was planning to get uncomfortable this year, I meant it. But, like all good plans I have, I managed to procrastinate the shit out of it. It’s a gift.... Oh, I’d better read up a bit more.... Just do one more course.... Get a bit better at.... Finish this one thing & THEN I’ll be ready. This morning I had the opportunity to speak with a beautiful bunch of blokes & a few lovely ladies about mental health & wellness at Austonne Pty Ltd’s Tool Box meeting. I wanted to run. Hoped for a minor accident on the way there so I would definitely have to cancel. Considered I might have a sore throat & should probably self isolate just in case. *Did NOT have a sore throat. Not even an itch* But instead, I had a word with myself. Did some self-coaching (Just look at what your thoughts are creating for you!!!). Took a TONNE of deep breaths. Reminded myself of ALLTHEREASONS I was born for this. And managed my mind like a mofo. It was a great opportunity! In 30mins I managed to recognise SOOOOO many of my bullshit old stories. I’m terrible at public speaking. I never know what to say. I’m not smart enough for this, other people know more than me, what value do I even have to offer? Blah, blah, blah. And, as you do, I thought of 1000 things on the way home that I could’ve said to get my message across clearer, but I’ll just have to put those in my back pocket for next time. These pics might not seem all that impressive to some. No big deal, really. Someone else’s molehill to my mountain. But, for me, they blow my mind because they’re evidence of how far I’ve come. There’s no way I would ever have done this a year ago. I really have practiced what I preach as far as using hypnosis, meditation, & brain priming & it has PAID OFF. I’m not the same person. 05.01.2022 Old stories: When I was a kid, Mum would never let me have a Guns N Roses album (because the language was disgusting!). I had to go to a friends house to listen to them (until he made me my own secret tape to listen to on my Walkman ). I never bought my own. But this weekend, thanks to ALDI & some nagging from the 13y/o, I finally got my OWN record to play any time I like. Because I can listen to any sweary shit that I want. ... Because Im an adult & I get to choose my own story. Not even sorry, Mum. I sure showed her, hey?!..... *cough* .........thirty years later. This one was pretty stupid & fairly inconsequential but have you ever thought about the stories you were given as a kid? Are they working for you?

02.01.2022 The root cause of any problem is always OUR THINKING. What? ... It’s true. I promise. It doesn’t matter what circumstance has occurred in our life. How we FEEL about that circumstance is a direct result of what we THINK about it. Because we have tens of thousands of thoughts every day, we’re not consciously aware of them all, but they are the reason for EVERY feeling/emotion we have. Anxious about something? It’s because of your thoughts. Pissed off? It’s because of your thoughts. Sad? Scared? Happy? Excited? Unmotivated?TOTALLY YOUR THOUGHTS. Why is this important? *inhales deeply*... It’s important because our feelings create our actions/reactions/inaction & these actions/reactions/inactions create ALLOFTHERESULTS in our lives. All of them. What’s good about this? Our thought are ALWAYS optional. When you can be aware of your thoughts & the feelings, actions, & results they’re creating in your life you can start to change your internal narrative to one that’s more empowering & helpful. What you tell yourself is IMPORTANT, damn it! We believe so much about ourselves: I just don’t have any willpower I can never lose weight I don’t have enough confidence I’m not good enough I’m so shit at this I’ll never quit smoking/overeating/drinking etc Blah. Blah. Blah... But a belief is just a thought we’ve repeated over & over again until it feels like a fact. And I’m here to tell you most of it is bullshit. Seriously. I could tell you that the simplest shift in just YOUR THINKING will create a completely different result from what you have now, but I’d rather see you blow your own damn mind when you work that out for yourself .
