25.01.2022 We thought worth sharing this post... it's not just this certain supplier that has restrictions when buying or collecting materials, most of our suppliers are the same. If our hardware trip during your builds takes a little longer than normal please be patient as everyone is doing the best during these new times. ;)

25.01.2022 The fun stuff has started! ;) Keep checking back to see the renovations unfold! Subway tiles looking good! Few different tiles on this job, will they all match?! You'll have to wait and see

25.01.2022 "setup" our clients Christmas "tree" while on site today... in the wise words of Maui from Moana... "what can I say expect your welcome..."

24.01.2022 James and I often refer to our families and how important they are too us, and the reason we strive to be successful in what we do... so today, we rewarded ourselves and families by having a fun day out! Pretty sure you can work out what we did! ;) Lots of fun...

24.01.2022 We didn't think we'd do this many today, on a weekend so in advance, we are sorry about the multiple work posts...

24.01.2022 Check it out peeps! ;) Yesterday afternoon we finished off touch ups and adjustments and handed over this amazing bathroom, toilet and laundry renovation to our amazing clients! Just in time for them to have some extra family members stay too! We are super happy with all the finishes and the way the spaces have worked, our client was a little worried if it would all fit in and come together, and result, sure does! Thank you to all the suppliers, trades and our guys for putt...ing some big hours into this getting it just right. As always, a huge thank you to our fantastic clients for putting your faith in us to deliver you vision for your rooms, without you we wouldn't have the opportunity to complete these transformations. While we are now completing our final jobs for 2020, and 2021 bookings are happening, it's never too early to contact us to discuss your project. At this stage though please be patient and give us a bell after the December/January shut down period. ;) Until next time folkes, thank you for your support of a local business and allowing us to have the most amazing job in the world! Check back to see the final projects for 2020 unfold. Stay safe. See more

24.01.2022 We've completed yet another one of our awesome clients job, the skylight! All ready for them to sand the filler back and paint it up, we are super stoked with this and really pleased it has allowed the natural light our client wanted into their home! Happy days ;)

23.01.2022 Tomorrow starts what is always the busiest, most hectic, and out of control week in our industry. Hard working trades and suppliers are under the pump, and Jimmy and I will be flat out like a lizard drinking... busier than a bartender in mid summer on a hot day... That said, before the week starts, I want to personally thank our trades, our suppliers and most importantly our clients for selecting us and allowing our business to exist. I also want to personally thank Jimmy f...or his hard work, this and every year, pushing through his chronic fatigue to ensure we complete jobs and have happy clients. I want to also thank my children and my fiancee for being the reason I get up everyday motivated to succeed in all we undertake. Thank you to friends, and family for supporting us, be patient with us this week, we will be busy, and a little exhausted and stressed... but our smiles will remain. Jimmy and I literally spoke about how lucky we are to get to work with such a good mate, and also to work in and industry we love on jobs we enjoy doing... when your passion is your career, you never actually "work" a day. Thanks again to our family, friends, partners, children and our clients for making what we do so amazing. Watch the last projects finished off this year and good goly, watch 2021 posts... they will be coming thick and fast! ;) See more

23.01.2022 So today is Sunday, we are working, so thought we'd do a "holey" post... ;)

23.01.2022 With wall Tiles complete, floor tiles well under way, was time to get the black edge installed for the niche, and the niche tiles installed! Next step, finish off floor tiles, black edge into floor, and then bring it all together.. grout time, oh yeah ;)

23.01.2022 2020, what an "interesting" year, fires, floods and then COVID... we've all been touched by the events of 2020, yet we look forward to 2021, we start with an optimistic outlook, our health and the love our of friends and family. With clients ready for us to bring them some joy with the renovations we are going to undertake. While 2020 hasn't been the best year for the world, we have to stay strong and keep moving forward. Stay safe, stay happy and see you all in 2021! ;)

23.01.2022 Every job we do is unique and different, but they all have one thing in common... we take pride in getting the preparation works done to ensure the best possible finish is achieved. Here we have prepared the outdoor area for pavers, using the correct recommended packing sand, the compaction plate machine, levels, screeds, straight edges and lasers... next up, bring on the paving. Huge team effort to get this one to this stage. :) Stay tuned to see this project unfold.

23.01.2022 Did everyone guess what we were working on the other day?! Well here it is... we still need to finish top coat and sanding for the plaster... but it's a skylight! Oh yeah... Also... can anyone guess what Jimmy was thinking right at the moment the photo was taken!!! Check back for more project updates and don't forget to contact us for your quote... the schedule for the year is fast getting booked up ;)

22.01.2022 On the commercial job earlier this week, this was one hell of a beam to install... 7 blokes, 1 lifter (hand crank)... but we got there... team work! ;)

21.01.2022 Our clients paving job is coming along now, as a team we are flat out in the lead up to Christmas, and have been working weekends and also managed to get some extra helping hands! You know who you are :) and thank fellas. I also wanted to take the time to give Jimmy a special mention on this one, after the sand was in, we had to divide the team and work in different projects. Jimmy has had assistance on this job, however it must be said he has really stood up and shown his ability and also leadership on picking up this job from paving stage and making it his own. Awesome work mate, it's why not just the clients but all the trades and suppliers we deal with love ya pal! thanks dude. ;) Check back to see the final stages of this project, and to watch our clients entertainment space come alive! :)

21.01.2022 Those who follow our posts know that we are always happy to show our projects during construction, roots and all, this is the last major client job in 2020, and it a coming along. Loads of adjustments to this lounge/dining/study (open concept) area. All rough in work done, joinery carcasses all built and ready, materials all on site. This is one of those jobs were it will all make more sense once we upload the finished works... in the meantime here's a sneak peak! ;)

21.01.2022 One of the apprentices that we often work with is always asking for a shout out on our work page... sorry scooter it's the only picture we have of you... you seem pretty happy in this one! Always happy working in with you and the other fellas....keep up the work, listen, learn and get that apprenticeship completed. :)

20.01.2022 Cos adding a new door is rewarding! ;)

20.01.2022 Maffra job got some awesome gear going in, "floating" vanity installed (those tricky plumbing changes make sense now! ;) ) Tiled splashback for vanity also done, and stone vanity top on also... Plus the pattern design for the floor going done also, tricky = yes... worth it... 100%! Keep checking back this evening to see it really come together. Don't forget, while our books are closed for 2020, we are still quoting worlds for 2021... so don't forget to drop us a line. ;)

19.01.2022 Pavers coming up a treat! ;) 90% one colour paver and 10% a feature colour... we can't wait for our clients to be able to use this over summer! Don't forget no matter the project you have planned for 2021 give us a call in the new year to discuss your plans :)

19.01.2022 We hope, like us, that you all stopped today, had a moment of silence and remembered all those that fought and gave their lives so that we would have the freedoms we take for granted. Lest we Forget

19.01.2022 Valued clients, please don't forget we are still taking some well earned time off. ;) We will be back next week, until then...

19.01.2022 Oh dear... did Jimmy just fall through a ceiling? Oh dear... are those rain clouds chasing us down as we have plaster on board (taken when car is stationery)? Oh dear...is that a lame plaster patch? Not really up to our standards hey?! OR... should you check back later in the week (weather permitting) to see if this is something planned and deliberate?! ;) Stay tuned to find out... :)

19.01.2022 Good Morning, from a frosty T.C.R team... ;)

19.01.2022 For our valued clients who know us and me... this! lol

19.01.2022 It's Friday... smile! ;) Even better I'll be sending out all the quotes we've been working on over the next 24 hours, so if you get an email from us... earlier or late, it's not dodgy... It's us sending you your quotes! Thanks all and have a top weekend :)

18.01.2022 So, our awesome clients had this one booked in with us and the time has come to get stuck in, updating a bathroom, toilet and laundry... big job this one... stay tuned to watch it unfold! Day 1 and Day 2 and Day 3 - all demo work. ;)

17.01.2022 This is simple, and we don't wish to offend any of our clients, family, friends, or those looking to have us complete works. Again, it's simple. Both James and I work with people and for people that are in the highest risk areas of being seriously ill from COVID, every lock down is literally money from our children's table, every shut down is longer to complete projects, every time we shut the borders my partner has no chance of being allowed into Australia. Jim has already ...had his Astra Vax I became eligible for Pziffer Vax yesterday (and booked in for Tuesday) This isn't a game, this is our livelihoods, this is our personal lives, while we always agree people have a choice, we would encourage everyone to get vacinated... if not for your own safety, so the world and people's lives can return to normal... cos hey... do you really want us two looking like this on your job sites? ;) Much love to all and stay safe, here's to the world getting back to the new normal. :) Hamish & James (Not trying to breach copyright here, vax imagines shown to illustrate the vax that Jimmy and I have) See more

17.01.2022 Something different this weekend, we are turning the spotlight on explaining two things that are very close to our hearts, living with Austism and living with Chronic Fatigue... we feel that it would he great for people to understand two causes that are near and dear to our company and to help educate the wider community, don't worry it won't be a regular thing just something we felt was worth sharing. :)

16.01.2022 Sometimes the pain we push through on site can be seen... other days it can't be physically seen... Can you pick which one today was?

15.01.2022 Working days left for 2020... well, subject to what this crazy 2020 has to throw at us still!!!!! In working out our current schedule, we've noticed that we have only 68 working days left in 2020... this means we've got a busy finish to 2020! Time is fast vanishing!!!!! So if you've got your quote, when you get your quote or to book us in for 2020 contact us today to discuss your project. We will let everyone now once the end of the year is totally booked out, but it is filling up. ;) Here's hoping the next 68 working days run smoothly, without any 2020 surprises... oh and our last working day this year will be FRIDAY the 19th December. Stay safe everyone and we are looking forward to a positive finish to what has been a different, unusual and challenging year! ;)

14.01.2022 Caption this... ;) (but behave! lol)

14.01.2022 Whop, whop... plumbing fit off taking place and laundry floor tiles laid! Yeah baby!!! Toilet, bath, bath taps all installed by the licensed plumber and hooked up, plus some finishing touches like chrome trim going in also! Stay tuned as close to handing this over to our wonderful customers. Has this deisng inspired your next renovation? :) :) :)

14.01.2022 The base coat all came up a treat in this skylight, too coat has now been applied... next steps, sand it back, add some trims, a little no more gaps... quick splash of paint.. and she'll be ready to rock! Check back tk see this skylight finished off! Nice knowing it's letting in the extra light our clients really needed in the space. :)

14.01.2022 DEAR Valued clients, please be advised that we have officially closed off the building books for 2020, those jobs who are booked in already know! ;) Otherwise we have already started taking booking for renovations for 2021! Contact us today to discuss your needs... ;)

14.01.2022 One of our valued clients job has been ticked off and completed, little painting for them to do, but its all built (permitted) and downpipe all connected also. With their deck now undercover, and just in time for summer BBQ's! Let's hope it provides years of use, and thank you for selecting us. ;)

13.01.2022 So, after spending nights and weekends... we have finally managed to rebuild our quote templates, paperwork, invoice, books, imagine libabry, emails, and work out the drafting software (to a basic level! lol)... we know this has meant some delays in paperwork, quotes and such... but we thank everyone for their patience, and within the next couple of days we will be back fully up to date with the paperwork side! yippee... ;) We've also been very busy on site and lots of photos to follow... thanks everyone, now it's back to finish off these important quotes, you know who you are lol... :)

13.01.2022 Everyone is asking how the final 6 huge posts looked once all in, and what they are for... Well, the first part is easy, this is how they all look installed, see the size compared to the standard 88x88 posts and 9035 props, these bad boys are certainly a statement! ;) As for what they are for? Getting the posts in prior to Christmas allows the landscaping team to get in and do their thing, and then in the new year we shall be working on the rest. ;) Ticking off jobs for 2020 as the week unfolds. :) Check back to follow all our projects. ;)

12.01.2022 The last job before Christmas is coming along, all the painting is well under way and the feature wall of Axon cladding is up and painted in the feature colour. ;) Check back on Wednesday night next week to see the full transformation! :)

11.01.2022 One of the things we love about our jobs, we get to wear many hats! Today was turning these into the laundry cabinetry carcass! ;) ... and through the power of photography, instant! lol... not quite, but ready to install!

11.01.2022 Super stoked to finish up our clients job today, got the fix out items they requested all sorted, plus the big ticket item of having the bathroom all ready for our client to fit off and paint. :) Also built their new linen robe too, I'm sure will be full up by the end of the weekend! Lol As always, thank for selecting us we really appreciate it. So next week will see us finish off few other jobs, and then we will be launching into the next full bathroom and laundry reno! Check back to watch it unfold... and don't forget it's never too early to start discussing your next project with us. Stay safe and hydrated this weekend! ;)

11.01.2022 Valued clients, you know we are a company that wear our hearts on our sleeves and included everyone as much as possible. Well this is a photo of my brain exploding! Having spent days working on three sets of plans in the drafting software they have all disappeared, gone... I'm not sure if it's the drafting software, the computer itself or the bloke using it (I'd guess 99% the bloke)! Either way in trying to provide an extra service, for free, it's become clear that to get t...his drafting software to work it going to take time.... time right now due to our busy schedule and clients waiting for quotes we can't afford to put into it. In life it's okay to try and fail, I'm sorry that I've failed you our clients in learning this new drafting software, the idea was to take drawing the plans and quotes to the next level, but at the moment I'm going to step back and go back to the old fashion hand drawn plans we did. Over the next year or so both Jim and I will play around with the software to get it right. Until then we will do things the way we always did that worked. Sorry for any delays this may have caused, but lesson learned... leave the drafting to qualified drafting people and leave the amazing workmanship and building quality to us... cos after all... that is what we do! ;) See more

10.01.2022 We had a delay on a permit for another of our valued clients, means we skipped ahead on this bathroom renovation, our client had done the prep work on this one, and we are just adding all the finishing touches ;) Check back to see this finished off, including a pretty nifty inclusion in the niche! :)

10.01.2022 What we do wouldn't be possible without this amazing human being! Pushing through his chronic fatigue, showcasing his amazing skills, on so many trades and skill sets... what a bloody champ! HAPPY BIRTHDAY James Baker ;) Enjoy the day and hope it's an amazing weekend.

09.01.2022 MERRY Christmas to each and everyone of our valued clients, friend and families. Stay safe, thanks for trusting in us and looking forward to 2021. :)

09.01.2022 Not a photo about my tats... and the photos don't really so it justice... Today I was in the ceiling cavity, and had a massive and instant reaction to, we assume, the insulation, my arms broke out into rash and had to get some meds to calm it down. Now this post isn't a sympathy one... it's actually a warning! No matter how experienced you are, what protective gear you have on, the industry we work in can have unseen dangers, so always take care!

09.01.2022 Maffra... looking amazing now... we spent the weekend working on the job also to ensure we can have the bathroom, toilet and laundry all completed and ready for our clients for the coming weekend! These are the 2nd last photos of the job we will upload, the next photos you see will be the jobs all 100% complete and everything all cleaned up and ready to handover to our amazing clients, for them to get many many happy years of use out of all of them. So check back the end of this coming week to see the final renovations, and again don't forget to contact us to discuss your next job! ;)

09.01.2022 Prepare to be overloaded!!! ;) We've been so busy finishing off some awesome customer jobs, we haven't had time to upload our normal content... but over the next few days you'll see loads of posts! So, sorry I'm advance if you feel overloaded by the time we are done! lol. :) Stay tuned, can't wait to get the images and posts up! Thanks and take care everyone. ;)

08.01.2022 Sorry everyone, really heavy work post coming up... ;)

08.01.2022 With the wall Tiles up, time to start the floor Tiles, shower base is step one and ensuring pattern and fall both work, functionality and aesthetically! Don't forget if you want us working on your project to contact is today. Check back during the week as lots happening on various jobs ;)

08.01.2022 So this will be the last progress shots for our awesome clients ensuite renovation... the next photos you see will be it all finished off, painted, cleaned and ready for use! In the meantime it's coming up a treat! ;) Check back to see the finished result. :)

08.01.2022 Building and tidy up works underway at our clients bathroom, laundry and toilet job... keep checking in too watch it unfold! :)

07.01.2022 Our clients job(s) in Maffra are flying along now! Wall tiles for shower are in, along with niche tiles Floor to ceiling subway tiles on the remaining walls also done and dusted Toilet floor tiled, and our client also added subway tiles to the rear toilet wall, good move we reckon! Oh and of course another tip run to make sure we are keeping the site clean and clear of obstacles! Very important when one of us is very clumsy lol ... Keep checking back at we are well and truly into these jobs now so will all come together quickly now. See more

07.01.2022 Couple of photos of the frame we've been helping our mates crew with... might be back to help throw the trusses up, schedule allowing, but always fun and enjoyable working with these fellas... plus they make sure we work our arse off too! Appreciate the work as always mate. ;)

06.01.2022 Oh dear, the building silly season has arrived!!! ;) 42 working days left before Christmas Break!!!!

06.01.2022 Frame, frame, frame... that's what we've been busy doing this last little while, stick framing this aged care new facility... we've been working in with Duff and his crew on this so we can't take all the credit for all the work. :) Always fun working with him and the guys, and nice to get an apprentice or two thrown our way for a few days... keep us on our toes too! After this one well be back to our private work and some cool projects coming up. Stay safe, check in on your family and friends and support local businesses! ;)

06.01.2022 ... neat as a pin!!! if we do say so ourselves ;)

06.01.2022 We made a commitment to one of our valued clients to get a working walk in robe in before the end of the year, we always agreed we'd be back in 2021 to finish it off, adjust the fronts of the drawers, paint and such... we are pleased that YES, we met our promise and got the robe in, hanging rails, door knobs on, soft closing drawers in! Yup, we will tidy up the final items in 2021, but we are so proud we managed to get this much done prior to the end of 2020, thanks as always for putting your trust in us! ;)

05.01.2022 Hi all, so today Jimmy and Scooter are taking care of business! I'm off at home celebrating my eldest boys 13th birthday so doubt any paperwork will get done today! Sorry. We love you or clients, we love our families too ;) Back on deck for a full on office and catch up day... I need it! :)

04.01.2022 Danger of working on site... when you smash the device, tablet, that has all your quote, books, emails, job lists, photos... literally ALL your work items on it... and this happens... it has meant I've had to try and recover what I can and then start quotes and jobs lists from my notes and printed quotes... so please all be patient... by 2020 standards this isn't even a real issue! lol... Up side is home schooling my lads for the next two days and in between being a dad and teacher I'll be getting everything done again and up to date. Lesson learned...don't be stubborn and back up to the cloud!!!!!! ;) End result photo attached... happened at the end of last week... and been trying to recover data since...not fun. Thanks everyone for your understanding in advance. :)

04.01.2022 After working both Saturday and Sunday, figured earned this! ;) Beer and fishing show... lol

04.01.2022 Jimmy is on site getting brand new door jamb built (from the raw materials), and then installing the new kick arse front door (materials finally came in!) Today I'm looking after one of my kids, off school ill, part of being self employed Dad whose partner is trapped overseas! So I shall be trying to fire off some paperwork in between Dad duties. ;)

04.01.2022 Today, yes we know it's a weekend, we headed to three different jobs sites, one of them was finishing off our clients paving job, the tiles are partial wet after completing the clean, it's come up a treat and in time for our amazing clients to use for summer, enjoy guys. ;)

04.01.2022 Some new posts to correct the old smaller ones... it will all make sense in the new year in this one, but posts in to allow the landscaping guys to do their piece before Christmas. Those are 200mm x 200mm H4 posts.. and yes we can confirm, they weigh a tonne.. but all sanded and dressed edges... look bloody mint! You'll be able to check back in the new year and see why these awesome posts went in. ;)

04.01.2022 So here come all the update posts! Been flat out so hadn't had the chance, but back by popular demand! ;)

03.01.2022 The fun stuff under way, walls built, all items roughed in, adjusted, insulation in, plaster and villaboard hung, waterproofing done (3 coats in all areas)... next up all the stuff you all love to see, tiles, joinery, fixtures and fittings! We know that's what you really want to see! ;)

03.01.2022 "You've gotta break a few eggs to make a tasty omelet"... wise words... and yes they apply to renovations also, sometimes making a small layout change to a current room or area looks quick on paper... but trust us and our plumber when we say, it never is. :) lol These are the eggs being broken to run the corrected plumbing works and required upgraded lines to meet regs. Couple of days works in getting concrete cut, areas dug out, lines found, new works done, still need to then get it all ticked off and clean up too! :)

03.01.2022 We are, as always, very proud of the finished job for our valued client. This bathroom renovation has turned a dated bathroom with open toilet into a modern bathroom with separate lockable toilet suite. The textured tiles have given this a pop and the modern take on the inbuilt medicine cabinet has given some much needed storage space. We will be adding some new decorative cornice into the toilet suite and also a black shower rail into the shower, the diverted mixer already ...installed, allowing the choice of either traditional showering or rain head... Using the window and adding the shower niche also means no messy hanging baskets for shampoo and such... We'd like to thank our clients again for putting their faith and trust in us as we completed your project and here's to many years of enjoying your new ensuite! Thanks again, and don't forget to drop us a line to complete your next project ;) Hamish and Jimmy :) See more

03.01.2022 So Proud and thank you! Yesterday, after some huge hours, we got our awesome clients kitchen up and running for amazing clients. We think this has come up a treat, and next year (already booked in!) When we come back and put the timber flooring down, in all the rooms ;) and add new hardwood archs and skirts it will complete a huge, amazing, transformation. We did have a few items supplied from the manufacturer that were damaged and not installed (and unable to get now until the new year, but that happens).. other than that we live this job and look forward to the extra work and jobs next year. Thanks guys for selecting us again and have a top Christmas and New year's... look forward to seeing your first meal cooked in the new space and enjoying the breakfast bar! ;)

03.01.2022 Our clients bathroom is coming along nicely, and yup the bath is fitted off, mudded in... and yes we put installation around baths, why? Loads of benefits around heat retention... just another little touch by our team... ;) Check back next week to see this room come alive!

02.01.2022 After getting the building permit approved, our valued clients job is now flying along! We've got three jobs on the go at the moment, plus the commercial work too... so lots more photos coming of completed jobs in the coming weeks. ;) Don't forget 2020 is all but filled up, but its always the right time to discuss your project. Jimmy and Scotty will be on site again tomorrow, and I'll be doing an office day to get bunch of important tasks finished off. Looking forward to a strong finish to 2020 and to all our valued clients, we hope the final months of 2020 are safe and successful ;)

02.01.2022 Client sent me a message asking what I made for my lads birthday dinner... this... ;) pass or fail?! :/

01.01.2022 While we have been a small part of this puzzle, working along side the main contractor, we are proud of the work we've put into the community project. Looking forward to seeing it all come together... ;)

01.01.2022 Safety is Important... but this will have a knock on affect for all of our clients and such. :/

01.01.2022 This guy... always likes to "stitch me up"... so my turn big fella! lol... 1. Broke the mirror for the niche within 5 minutes of me bringing it to site... TICK! (don't stress we got another one) 2. Busted with phone in hand, laying down on the job... TICK! LOL 3. Smashed the toilet door into pieces when fitting off the locks... TICK, (again don't fear we got a new one)... That's TICK, TICK, TICK!!!!... Told you you'd keep mate ha ha ha ha Its those moments though we must remind ourselves, "a man who makes no mistakes, makes nothing at all" For the record I've had about 5 little mishaps myself! So not throwing stones from my glass house... we love your work Jimmy! ;) See more

01.01.2022 Lots of posts coming, been super busy on site, but will get them all up over the coming weeknd. In the meantime, keeping score... Old floor tiles and concrete - 2 Tools (chisel this time, Jim's hammer last time) - 0!
