25.01.2022 No rest for Simon this weekend! Yesterday saw one of the caravans get picked up after a week full of modifications. Today he headed across town to fit the dog run internal bi-fold door he had fabricated.... The owner wanted to be able to open up the run so if 1 dog was in the run it was able to access the whole area. Another happy customer!!!! On the way home Simon picked up another caravan for a service and a list of items the owner would like checked, from the solar set up to the condition of the rubber and seals. 24.01.2022 This week sees another caravan in, it needs some new lights, a new swing up jockey wheel and some other bits and pieces. Another customer has ordered a custom made bi-fold door for her existing dog run so that it can be opened up inside to make a bigger space, it is ready for fitting. Simon has finished the stair handrail - now back from the powder coaters and a custom built dog crate which is now off at the powder coaters .... A truck came in for some repairs on its bumper yesterday.......yep definitely needed some welding done! 23.01.2022 Here at #tmaf no job is too big or too small!!!! Yesterday saw Simon fit a Kings side awning to a Hilux. And today he put the finishing touches on two testing rigs he was commissioned to design and fabricate.... 21.01.2022 Work has slowed down a little but with all the uncertainty in the last few weeks, it has been expected..... Simon has still been busy with bits and pieces. We had a Colorado come in for fitment of, a bull bar, UHF and power socket to the tray for a fridge.... A Hilux was in for a new roof rack and side awning A call out saw a truck broken down needing new batteries and a new cab lift pump which Simon sorted out and got them on their way. Taut liner in for some repairs to gates and nose cone. Onsite, door replacement to a Personal Access door. Truck fuel tank repair. Taut liner chassis mounts repaired. Currently in the factory we have a XF panelvan in for some floor rust repairs and RWC repairs. We also have Esme the caravan who came in with her own list of modifications and repairs that her owner wanted done and she is almost complete now, she has had a complete full service report done with new tyre, battery, jockey wheel and 12v power socket just to name a few things. This last week has seen a new car/caravan hoist installed to make those tricky jobs easier. Thanks to Tufflift Hoists Simon currently has some openings, so if anyone wants to get onto those jobs that they have been thinking about please dont hesitate to give us a call and book them in!!!! We are able to do a pick up and drop off service for some things too so if you are in self isolation you dont need to go out. Kobi the door greeter has had an uneventful week!!! But he did find a box he had a ball with and found some sun! #kobioftmaf Lastly, we are very aware of the social distancing rules and practise it at TMAF so we appreciate your co-operation.

18.01.2022 When you have a slow couple of days......what do you do??????? A bit of in-house fabrication!!! The work ute needed a second battery fitted but with no room under the bonnet...... 18.01.2022 We are a family based business, most of us have other jobs but we all help out when we can! This morning saw Simon and both his boys Lochlan and Josh at the factory working. Lochlan is our resident tech savvy person and he installed a new head unit and reverse camera in a Navara.... Simon and Josh together, serviced a grain trailer, did some maintenance on the press, fine tuned it and put a new floor in the motorbike trailer. Day off tomorrow!!!

17.01.2022 WOW what a week!!! This week was a very busy one!!! *Tipper stuck in a quarry and Simon needed to assist with the air system ... *Fabrication of a custom made rear step for a Mercedes van *Prime Mover almost lost his bull bar, but Simon to the rescue and he repaired the mount *A set of freshly, powder coated hand rails, fitted to a brand new home *Simon had a break down last which he attended to, getting the tanker back in use *Second battery tray mount was cracked at mounting points, they were then welded and strengthened and a new battery tray installed *One custom dog crate fitted much to the occupants delight! In amongst these jobs were some small fabrication jobs, a start on the two caravans currently in the factory and more work on the esCapade Commodore Ute which has done a lot of work...... 17.01.2022 Simon went to school this week and now has his white card so he can now go onto any building site to work He also did some work on a tipper, thank you Crakin Earth Moving for giving us your work! This tipper needed both upper and lower hinges replaced, the top lock replaced, tail gate lock repaired and a guard re-fitted.... He spent a day subcontracting, where he spent the day on site fitting some balustrade to the second floor landing and some hand rails. So a busy week here this week for #tmaf! As usual the door greeter is doing his job.....well done Kobi! #kobioftmaf

13.01.2022 After a couple of weeks of designing and planning a custom made ute canopy crate - designed to fit an existing canvas, it was finally completed and picked up by one very happy customer. With no drawings and some simple requests from the owner we were able to fabricate this crate to be able to be used with or without the canvas. The only requests, were to have doors on every side, a roomy dog box and to be removed easily when required.... Every door is a lift up, with gas struts and T-latch locks. Extra tie down points were put into the tray to accommodate two spare wheels. The headboard of the ute was also modified to follow the same lines of the crate. The happy customer has already sent us some photos he took at home. #tmaf

12.01.2022 Time to share what we have been up to over the last two weeks! We have had a couple of truck break downs, quite a few trucks in the factory for minor repairs such as welding of broken brackets, cardboard recycling truck was in for some chassis repairs and a few exhaust repairs. Mostly though we have been doing 4x4 accessory fitting! Many spotlights, a couple of winches, drawer systems, a few awnings and another roof top tent! Thanks to our mates at 4WD Supacentre Ravenhall f...or all the recommendations! We also had a Patrol and canvas canopy come in....this has tested Simons fabricating skills as he has had to custom fabricate a frame with inbuilt dog cage to suit both the car and canopy. This should be finished soon! We have a little caravan in, ready for commencement of work next week with a huge list of customer requests and a full service. We have found that we need to have our doors open on a Saturday so give us a call! As usual Kobi the door greeter is never too far away! #tmaf #kobioftmaf

Simon has his work cut out for him for the next couple of weeks! - dog float in need of a roof rack and modifications ... - Ute in need of some shocker tower repairs - Caravan in for some maintenance and modifications - van in for some internal modifications - a custom fabricated basket for the back of a caravan Not to mention the quick truck fuel tank repair from yesterday! 06.01.2022 A quick re-cap on the last two weeks...... - truck fuel tank came in punctured, Simon repaired and patched. - caravan came in for diesel heater repairs which involved a new diesel tank custom fabricated and fitted, some solar issues looked at, twin fan and controller fitted to fridge vent and an outside light wired in and fitted.... - taut liner came in for some gate repairs and a guard repair. - a couple of custom made lockable barriers made for the back of a van to protect personal items was fitted. - the esCarpade ute shocker towers were reinforced. - a new Kings, side awning fitted Next week sees us finish off a service and modifications to a little Jayco van, some off site subcontracting jobs, a UHF and bullbar fitment and anything else that comes in. The Door greeter Kobi, also had an interesting time.....he decided to swallow a riggers glove whole.....a quick trip to the vet saw him bring the glove up and a couple of hours later he was back to normal again!!!!

04.01.2022 Time for an update! We thought Covid 19 was going to slow us down a lot.........but nope, we have been quite busy! April and the start of May have seen us with quite a lot of 4X4 accessory fittings. ... The maintenance and repairs to trucks and their trailers has been consistent. Throw in some mechanical repairs to an XF panel van and a motor bike trailer face lift and you see just how diverse we are!!!!!! Simon has been kept very busy - - Fabricating custom made roof racks - installing draw systems - 2nd battery system - modifying an existing solar panel frame - fabricating some custom sample test frames - fabricating aluminium and stainless steel hose fittings - fitting a couple of Kings roof racks and also a new aluminium roof top camper to a Prado - fabricated and fitted extra security bars to a personal access door - custom made security gate - major repair and panel beat of a damaged truck fuel tank - new shockers installed on a tipper - new sway bar bushes fitted to a truck - bull bar repair - ramp, ram mount repair - a couple of roadside truck repairs The workshop also had an addition of a new 50 tonne workshop press! Our Sling Shot is also in for modifications - a new solar panel, a new window for the front, some checker plate for the front and some new hatches to access storage areas from the outside. We also had a custom made dog crate (fabricated for the safe transportation of a couple of Staffords) come back from the powder coaters, great job again Fence Solutions and Powder Coating!...
