The works were located over 3 floors and 6 wings in the hospitals north block. 19.01.2022 New internal stairs for access into an accessible ceiling space inside a pharmaceutical production facility. Working inside a clean-room facility we needed to ensure air tight hoardings and continual cleaning were taken into account whilst modifying the room and ceiling layout. Transportation and positioning of the stairs into the facility involved use of various lifting equipment and an experienced team.

18.01.2022 DESIGN & CONSTRUCT | TANKS WEST Following a fire that could be seen as far away as Rottnest Island, Tanks Wests existing manufacturing facility was destroyed. Tanks West engaged the services of Total Project Solution (TPS) to design and construct a replacement manufacturing facility. The Project Control Group was formed allowing the buildability and compliance to be incorporated into the design and documentation. This reduced the risk associated with cost and time escalat...ion and streamlined the project processes. To expedite the construction, an Early Works Package was completed during the design and approval process. The EWP entailed demolition, removal of steel columns, floor slab preparation and boundary fence removal followed by extensive site clearance. TPS partnered with Finespun Architecture for the design and documentation and BCA for the building certification and compliance. Our scope of work incorporated the planning and environmental approvals requirements. The new structure was a combination of a structural steel frame, concrete panel walls, and Colourbond roof and wall cladding. Providing sufficient ventilation and required airflow was complicated by the need to control emissions from the facility. Site safety and compliance required high-level management due to the site being located within a larger fully operation facility. With significant pedestrian and vehicle movements, toxic and highly flammable materials. 17.01.2022 TPS - REFURBISHMENT | FERNS CAFE Located in the central core of St John of God Hospital Murdoch is Ferns Café. This fit-out featured detailed ceilings and bulkheads with intricate lighting in the ceilings and joinery. Curved glass walls formed the separation between the Café and public thoroughfare. 06.01.2022 CONSTRUCTION | SJOG MURDOCH CHAPEL St John of God Murdoch Hospital is a 507-bed private hospital established in 1994. The chapel is located in a prominent position between the main hospital entry, emergency department and birthing suites. Construction of the chapel took place while the hospital was fully operational and between many of the highest populated areas. The fit out included a curved feature ceiling with timber infill beams, curved diffusion and recessed lighting.... Partnering with Ferguson Architects for the architectural design and experienced contractors for the services documentation.
